So more soap bubbles, leaves more tiny voids as they pop. Very cool. As far as priming, what if you mix the smallest pea-gravel into your bentonite/ or mortar mix and sand . We all know that the larger the aggregate the easier it will rock pack. The more you experiment, you’re likely to find solutions. And have fun , thank you Scott. These videos are very entertaining 😂
@@victorvillasana3409 So what’s always been interesting to me is, the roughest mixes I’ve ever pumped have actually been pea-gravel. I believe so much of it comes down to the proportions of fine/mid/large materials in the mix. We have a 40mm stone mix which we see on occasion, and it actually pumps great (through a boom obviously). I’m thinking the same as you, we mix up some dish soap into a bucket of concrete and try it out as a primer. 🤔🤔🤔
Hi Scott Thank you for showing us this I watched your first video and loved it I have been using the dawn dish soap for two weeks and it been great I uses it for priming out and suking back with two sponge balls with a 5 gallon bucket of water and dawn it's ben great the Suds works the best
@@MichaelLemay-yr3ur it definitely is a great multi-purpose tool for keeping in the pumps. I’m looking forward to do an actual 28 day strength test on it in the lab. I’m sure after this video, we all know what the results will be (not stellar) 😂😂😂
Years ago did, some excavation at the Lafarge cement plant in Exshaw Alberta. The guys from the lab got me to break up some of the test samples that they just dump out behind their building and they were checking out how it broke up and some of the samples the aggregate was consistantly breaking with the concrete not staying whole the bond was that strong. Also if you ever get a chance to check out a cement plant do it.
I’m hoping to dig into videos like this a little deeper, and also get into some more of the behind the scenes operations. Most of the suppliers in it region are larger corporate type operations with stringent safety and liability policies, so it could be easier said than done, but I will try my damndest!!!

For an unscientific test you seem to be doing a lot of sciency things

Good slickem!! Try it for those tough prime outs! And it to mortor mix and that slick Willie stuff? Even the plastic bag staging!!

Interesting
Definitely need to get a formal, 28 days “break test” on some samples in the lab Darin.
