crossbows' suck unless you put defense around like 10 knights or 20 maceman which would have taken out those axman them or high place. Then they kill everything
Is it true that those wooden shields (i forgot their names) gets destroyed faster when they are hit from behind. if so then the vikings could attack from behind while the enemy horsemen and crossbowmen are busy fighting the horsemen. archers/crossbow prioritise striking each other befero foot soldiers, so the vikings would be safe until all horsemen die.
still worst units but a little better as they don't die from one arrow and can throw spears so you can take a few units from range including those on walls
Ya they're in circle, though I don't think ranged units get the defense buff anyway. This works because the xbows prioritize targeting horse archers. Works even better if you have 1 fire cart in your army. The xbows just ignore the vikings and even if you try to manually target the vikings, they just go back to shooting the horse archers
Viking tactic sounds pretty good but it takes a lot of micro while crossbowmen just have to stand there. Nice video!
