Guided Meditation: Your Being Is God's Being

- In this powerful guided meditation on realising our essential self - our being - to be God's being, Rupert references the Bhagavad Gita, the Sufi mystic Balayani, Ramana Maharshi, and a hymn by George Herbert to guide us to the revelation of the unity of being.
He suggests that in order to understand what God is, it is first necessary to understand what one's self is. If we believe and feel that we are a person - or finite, separate self - we will consider ourselves to be a tiny fragment within the world. Then we project the idea of God beyond the world.
Anyone who walks the path of devotion and surrender to God, purifies the separate self. In this, our understanding of God becomes increasingly refined until the devotee and beloved become closer and closer - the distinction between the one who longs, and that which is longed for, gradually dissolves. Eventually, there is a recognition that God's being is our being.
In other words, our being is not something that belongs to us as a person - the person belongs to being, being doesn't belong to the person. There is no 'we' or separate 'I' that owns our being. There has never been any other being than God's being. Thus, the being that we are is God's being.
Being is not an attribute of God - God simply is being.
Therefore, prayer is not a movement of our self towards God. Prayer is a divesting of our self of all the qualities or limitations we seem to have acquired from experience. And the subsequent revelation of being as infinite being, God's being - the only being there is. Prayer is to abide in the empty sanctuary of the heart - to know nothing, to be nothing, to seek nothing.

You keep it with you in order to seek union with Brahman (God), when You already are that which you seek. You, me, Rupert, are all of us, each other. I feel i am dreaming all the Time
🌷💐 When I look in Dreadful fear invades me & many image of eternal suffucation and agony reach me 🌷 I feel a life in motion inside of me & it is a being in agony 🌷💐🥺🥺🥺

The cost of escaping it would burden the soul by the day. Atleast understanding that I am the Self as a witness, of such suffocation and agony is a better practice to start with. The main thing is to break such purely psychological conditioning of - who you are. Beyond this you really exist as the Self, if you can grasp what I am saying...
🙂 The Dreadful fear that invades you when you look within shows your VERY intense longing for union with God, which, I think is a good thing..!
Remember, the thoughts, forms and emotions (your Dreadful fear) are broken-up and cloaked "pieces" of You (Brahman, the Ultimate Reality, God, the Infinite Being).
You seek union with yourself with God, as you want to go back to Him.
But, you did, as a first step, set yourself up as Separate from God in order that you could seek union with God. This strengthens the sense of separation with God.
You already Are that which you seek.
You are God, yet you are seeking God through union with one of your very own creations (Dreadful fear) which is made up of... You.
So, go to That which is Aware of the Dreadful fear. To make it easier, the Dreadful fear is observed, so it is an object that, is witnessed by... You.
Instead of putting attention (awareness) on the dreadful fear.. put your attention on You.
After all, You are the Source of the Dreadful fear. You, also, supply what is needed to Enegize it.
The next time the Dreadful fear comes up, notice your thought about it and how the Fear makes you feel.
Then simply notice the awareness of the thought and how it makes you feel, and keep noticing the awareness.
If that is too painful then replace the Dreadful fear with your hands:
Notice you hands..
Then notice the awareness of your hands.
You can change the object to notice to a mildly annoying incident next. Work on a gradient increasing the intestiiy of the thought/ incident.

🙂 Okay. The sequence that starts at the 11:10mark and ends at12:04, has to be the most s-i-g-n-i-f-c-a-n-t statement in this universe. It is bloody RIDICULOUS...! If there is one that is more, I do not know of it.
This does not need to be known outside of this universe as the condition does not exist.
This explains the human and spiritual condition.
Thinking cherished thoughts, persistent thoughts, music in the head, the intense and intensity of emotions, sensations and feelings (joy, anger, depression, anxiety, grief.. you, yes You..name it) wanting and keeping desired forms.. all in an effort to reunite with Brahman, God, the Infinite Being when you already ARE that which you seek re-union with. There is NOTHING that is not covered with Rupert's statement. I'd love to know if he personally observed this within or saw it in passing (which would still be Him, US, as everything is Us, or Brahman, God).
The video seems to have been sped up by 10 percent or sth...is there a reason for that? I find it distracting, unnatural
I can't imagine Jesus or Krishnamurti charging tickets to their talks, why don't you organize talks in cheaper places with cheap food so that even the "poor" can have the chance to attend? Thank you!!!! (I mean, to have the possibility of a direct meeting, not you tube)
He posts hundreds of videos online for free. He charges what he charges for in person meetings because he lives in a capitalist society and has to earn a living, and pay for the venue, and cover overhead/his expenses. Why you feel he shouldn't be able to earn a living off of his life's work would be a better question. He's given you every tool you could ever need to wake up online for free.
