You are confusing expectation with faith. You can have faith that everything is gonna be ok, yet you can have 0 expectations about how and when everything will resolve.
@@clavarx11 Im actually in a very life altering situation right now where i am walking by faith and not by sight. God does not honor passivity. God doesn't want things to be just 'ok'. God fights impossible battles for those who believe in him to fight for them and have an outcome that is beyond any earthly logic. Passive religious outlook does not overturn mountains of corruption. If i did not expect God to outperform i would not have fuel for my faith and i would not be able to distinguish possibilities and track deceit. God is the God of the "impossible" how else do you win? God also gives you signs and prophets in specific situations of what to expect. Its supernatural communication.
I had a wonderful experience with my mother in law who has Alzheimer's I had seen video before of Rupert saying even people with Alzheimer's their Essence still remains..I visited her one day and she was getting a bit aggitated so she got back into bed and I was soothing her by just rubbing her arms and hands I just kept making soothing sounds as a mother would to a child we were staring at each other for at least 20mins smiling at each other there was a beautiful atmosphere in the room and I I recognised it as pure love radiating between the two of us every now and again we would smile at each other..everything felt it was as it should be I didnt have a single thought for the whole time only a feeling of pure love She brought me back to the 'knowing' I listened to this rupert talk the night of my visit and it was so appropriate...

I dont get it. Can you explain in more details?
Resistance implies 'the one who resists' and 'that which is resisted' so the act of resisting holds in it the illusion of separation, and the illusion of the separate self.

I have tried many teacers. Some have helped and others haven't. Rupert has consistently been of great help to me. I am very grateful. I guess all teachers can't avoid teaching with their personality and Rupert's resonates with mine absolutely! Some of the teachers say exactly what he says but I live HOW he says it.:)

I love this meditation.. I seem to have a base level of excitement just below my expectations that makes it difficult to be at peace. So many possibilities my mind is like a kid in a candy store.
You can have all the thoughts you want you will have peace as long as you simply notice the presence of yourself shining at the same time. Your pure awareness is always shining in all expirirence you just have to remember and notice in the middle of any expirience

If objects were seen as notes in music then appreciation/happiness would be found in experiencing the patterned procession of their combined coming and going rather than waiting for any particular 'ideal' note.
Love how his words come out, taking time between what is said, so the listener can directly reflect that, instead of hundred of words a minute wich pulles the listener easy into his or her brain and it becomes more stuff to mentally chew on

The expectation can be the expression of a painful demand for love and attention in which case turning it around could be a very uncomfortable process.

God through Jesus said that as long as we know that Jesus is God we are saved without following the rules of the Old Testament. MC, it's true that nothing Rupert says is true; and he would be the first to tell you that. Perhaps you are flummoxed because you are focusing on the words and not actually looking within as Rupert points. He is not espousing some teaching, religion or belief system. He is simply pointing to the reality of the conscious presence which is reading this right now: The intimate silent awareness in which your entire life has unfolded.
James Thomas, that's also an opinion.....that's what he thinks consciousness is.....when you claim something then the burden on you to prove it....he says it's based on experience.....a mentally challenged person has a different point of view than a normal person......if a person goes under Brain surgery and something goes wrong that person would perceive life different than the normal person would.....again, his argument or teaching, and if you don't want to call it teaching.....call it what you wish, it's just not plausible. Real scientists will dismiss his views.........He just has an answer for every question!!! that to me is unrealistic.....another thing he mentioned is that it is possible for someone to operate on you "surgically" even if you live in a different country because we all are in the same realm of the same consciousness....."just like john of God".....after listening to Rupert over a year now it's really a shame to listen to him saying these things and people are believing him because they are looking for answers to satisfy them. there's nothing wrong of saying we don't know, we are trying to find out.....he's just another person that is trying to make sense of this mysteries thing called life.......if he says that's my opinion then that's fine. but to tell people this is it without evidence then it's just not good.
