@108405104196476382815 Thanks Federico. Latest version is direct from my website www.philizound.co.uk - follow the links for Freebies or Software. Avoid downloading copies held on other software websites as I have no control over them. As of Apr-21-2015 the latest version is v3.00 and there's another video ua-cam.com/video/itE1O--LZzc/v-deo.html which shows the new v3 features, or you can always check the mods history file www.philizound.co.uk/freebies/software/emx1config/mods-history.txt which documents all the changes. hth, Phil.
@Aaron Garcia You can move patterns and songs around, and you can edit the drums and synth parts within any pattern. If you go to the website www.philizound.co.uk/freebies/software/emx1config/emx1-config.html and scroll down to the screenshot titled "Pattern editing for drum & synth waveforms", it shows each drum and synth part can be chosen from drop-down lists. Not sure if this helps, but thanks for stopping by.
nice utility phil - good job! why korg never released anything like this is beyond me ! makes moving patterns so much easier! why the hell are all the factory patterns all jumbled up? it does my ocd in lmao
@foundatlantis Thanks for the feedback - I know what you mean :) Glad you found it useful. I still think this is one of Korg's great machines - really heavy & rugged with the metal case - no desire to get the EMX2. I don't use it as aggressively as some though - haven't got the skill :) :) Thanks for stopping by.
OMG MAN... HOW DID YOU GET A COMPUTER TO EVEN READ THE THING? I feel so lost when I get to trying to add new patterns and what not. Bought mine 15 years ago damn near and have not updated it. Just now really starting to use it and having great success and making decent tunes, but I would really like an update with some new sounds.
@Gold Dee the card is formatted in a standard way so a computer can navigate the folders and files... you just have to decode the binary patterns within the files. Some gear is a lot harder (if not impossible), e.g. the EMU Ultra samplers use a non-standard format which is not recognised by computers so you can't even get at the files. There should be patterns around the internet if you search. Note you can't change the sounds themselves on the EMX-1, only the patterns. You need the ESX-1 if you want different sampled sounds. Thanks for stopping by.
@@philtipping thank you. Yeah I am rolling right along now, but would like some updates. The sounds I have are still very relevant so I am fine for now, but soon I will want to add new sounds. Thanks for you reply
I don't know what the hell is going on, But i have 2 EMX-1's and i have a burning sensation in my Heart Chakra that's telling me that i need this. Can someone elaborate? HOLY SHIT... It organizes your patterns.... I mean i can do that by recording them into FL Studio but this would make LIVE performance a fucking BREEZE.... Dude, i bow to you. Thank you. What else do i need? I have a SM Card. Do i need a card reader?
@DJ Statyk yes you need a way of connecting the card to a computer so the EMX1Config program can read & write to it. Some computers have built-in slots for cards, but if not, you can get adapters which plug into USB. Thanks for stopping by.
@ghostbenq2536 haha yes you're right, it wasn't a good example of the 'long way' :) ... but hopefully the program's other advantages still stand. Thanks for stopping by.
@@philtipping Hi, I don't know for the other avantages of your programme because I don't use it sorry. I research actually if a programme as like esx wave organiser exist for change the factory samples in the memory of the korg emx personnaly :/
@ghostbenq2536 no worries. The program allows you to edit and re-organise patterns and songs on the memory card, but does not offer a way of changing the underlying audio samples within the EMX (although I'm not even sure it's possible?). www.philizound.co.uk/freebies/software/emx1config/emx1-config.html There's another video showing more features ua-cam.com/video/itE1O--LZzc/v-deo.html It's a pity I didn't have an ESX machine as well back then as I would have probably written a similar utility for it. They are both great machines though, even if a little dated; nice having gear which feels rugged with an all-metal chassis :)
@philtipping Yes the Electribe X series are great and I hope a mk3 version in the futur inspired of there but actualised with avanced features with maybe a granular part included on it 🤠 Have a nice day and thanks for sharing ;)
@Tim Maske you're right Timmey, it wasn't a good example of the 'long way' :) ... but hopefully the program's other advantages still stand. Thanks for stopping by.
i searched such a long time for a program like this...Thx...
Thanks +Cluster B - please spread the word :)
which is the latest version of the soft? any link where i can test it?? I think you have made THE software for emx1 users ;)

@Gino Wiedemann thanks for stopping by.
Much thanks for this software.
@Dani H thanks for stopping by Dani. Good to know these old machines are still live & kicking. Wouldn't part with mine :)
Fantasic, I will check out tomorrow +++
OMG! Good job!! Is this avaible on Mac OS x?
+PIXXEL TAPE it's only written for Microsoft Windows - sorry. It may work under Parallels or Boot Camp on your Mac, or under Wine on linux.
