I know this video has been posted a while ago I've just opened up my own today with the help of your video (Thank you very much!). What I've found inside differs from your findings on this model, I've actually found 2 SODIMM DDR4 slots (1 populated) on the other side of the motherboard, these are protected by an ESD shield which pops off when pulled. There also seems to be a hard drive header (but no caddy or mounting) which comes directly from motherboard and can physically be connected to a HDD or SSD however I have not yet attempted to boot with a second 2.5in disk mounted in this position - anyone else know whether this will work?
Can confirm this works and I now have a 2.5 in SATA SSD fitted (taped in place) on the second SATA header, with the original 1TB HDD as a storage drive and 8gb RAM installed.
@@joseefsimoes the other one is fixed straight to the edge of the motherboard, a drive can be inserted into the connector and fits within the chassis however there are no mounting screws, so taping it in place was my option (better for SSD than HDD)
Hold down Shift and choose "Restart" in Windows - this will boot you in to Recovery and under Troubleshooting there should be the option to go into the UEFI Firmware Settings. Alternatively, turn the computer on from a full shutdown and keep pressing the F2 key.
Brue Computing has become my go-to source for how-to videos on computer hardware upgrades. They are so detailed and so easy to follow. Excellent!
Thanks!
