Longines has the best overall catalog of ANY watch brand, in my opinion. Even disregarding it's reasonable affordable price point, their designs consistently slap.
I mean that really depends on your definition of value lol. But they are nice solid watches that are up there with the best of them at a price point that is not "insane".
Yes that's true. but both go in the same direction. The metal bracelet of the Breitling is pretty unique and different from everything else. So it's okay to make the comparison with the Rolex
4:25 Reminds me of the dilemma when closing a French door refrigerator oddly enough. You feel like you can do it either way but only one way closes it proper and keeps your food cold. Food for thought :p.

Difficult to choose my favourite watch but it’s between my sapphire sandwich speedy, on top of all of that heritage, the window on that movement is spectacular, And my Longines spirit titanium, which is so light, and the metal has an aged dull look about it. In certain positions the hands remind me of an airplane propeller. Both watches have sentimental meaning to me. I’m going to say the spirit, but ask me again next week and I’ll probably change back to the speedmaster.
Damn this Conquest Chronograph is gorgeous but just like with the 'regular' conquest 2023 rework I wish they offered a smaller version too. If Longines could make the regular Conquest in 38 or 39mm and the chrono in 40 just like their heritage record this would appeal to the smaller wristed part of the world as well. You can buy clothing in different sizes, why do watch manifacturers need to wait a year to release a different size for the same watches? At least Longines is releasing different colours straight away so props to them for that ;)
Regarding the comment at 9:35, Rolex is also a mass-produced luxury good. Given they make over a million watches per year, they make more watches annually than most watchmakers (Longines) included, do in the same time.
I just bought it yesterday and I AM SO HAPPY with my choice! It's my first "big boy's watch" in my collection and it looks stunning. I was going for Omega Constellation 41 or Tag Heuer Monaco, but I decided that for the first watch I will not go that far. And even if it's not an Omega - boy it looks and is fabolous. Thanks for the review!
I didn't like longines pre zulu time, but since they released zulu time, everything after zulu time looks amazing, including zulu time. It's like Tudor post BB, I didn't like tudor before the black bay catalogue.
Harrison, great review! A couple of things that I love about this watch that I don't think you mentioned. The faceting on the outer rim of the crystal enhances the seconds track which is a slick feature on a chronograph where precision timing is key. Also the lower part of the bezel affixed to the main case is angled towards the center of the watch and polished adding an awesome detail to the bezel. Couldn't agree more about the clasp. Very disappointed with it considering the Spirit clasp comes on a cheaper watch and is much better. I went ahead and swapped mine out with a rally strap. Thanks for the review! They are lacking on UA-cam for this model.
Very nice, but I prefer my Longines Hydroconquest Chronograph with the L688 column wheel movement. unfortunately for some reason it appears to have now been discontinued, glad I got mine when I did earlier this year.
Stunning, absolutely stunning! Longines smashed the ball out of the park! BTW, one of the questions in a standardized I.Q. test is how to close a butterfly clasp. 😂
Chronograph movement with current WR and antimagnetic properties can't be that small. Even if they make it that small, it would be too thick and the case will not be nicely balanced.
Lovely looking but does such a heavy taper on the bracelet knock out the balance? I think this obsession with tapering on bigger watch cases can feel a bit top heavy?
This is definitely my dream watch! But now they also offer the Marco Odermatt Limited Edition, navy blue dial with silver subdials and red accents, absolutely stunning!
Nice review! I am suprised that Longines didn't go with a column wheel chronograph from L688 series fort hat price... Could you please do a review of a Longines BigEye!? Pleeasee!
Very similar to the PRX chronograph in my opinion. This wears quite large so I am wondering if we will also see a 39mm Conquest chronograph. That would be a no brainer at this price point, especially when your grail watch is the Daytona …
A great video and a nice presentation of the Conquest Chronograph as an owner of a couple of Longines already I love the look of the champagne dial, a very good looking watch.
Silver or white would have looked good on the blue (or orange, but not really the look they would go for). These would be a toss up for me w/ the Tudors, would have to get them both on wrist before I could make up my mind. Great video "as always".

Great looking watch. But that bracelet seems to be a miss. Looks too small for that watch and why the butterfly clasp. Why not use the clasp from the new GMT with micro adjustment option. Longines acts like the young brother to Omega. They hold back just enough not to compete too closely.
