Great Video. Thanks for the lesson, it was really helpful.
I had never seen such as easy explanation of nai form until today. 07:22 This is very simple, thank you. I wonder why certain famous textbooks don't use this chart when talking about nai form. Many just use text without the Hiragana chart. The way you taught it is easy to understand!
Thank you so much for your kind comment! 😊 I’m really happy to hear that my explanation of the ない-form was easy to follow. I also wonder why some textbooks don’t include charts like this-it really helps to visualize the patterns, especially with hiragana! I’ll keep creating more content like this to make learning Japanese simple and fun🤗 Arigato so much!!😆💓
Thanks teacher❤
Nice lesson.
Thank you Sensie
Thank you for watching 🥰🥰🙏
Great job
very good
Thank you for this video. Everything seems clear but i try to understand one thing: if words finished on します and きます are in group 3 then why ききます and はなします are in group 1? What's the diffrence?
The verb of します is する
The verb of きます is くる
But: the verb of はなします and ききます is はなす and きく
So: each verb ending with するor くる became しない/こない
はなす( hanasu) end with "su" so change to "sa" and きく(kiku) end with "ku" so should be changed to ka
I hope it's understandable 😊
Thank you for your question! 🤗💓
Let me explain the difference:
Some words that end in します are actually combinations of a noun and the verb します. For example:
べんきょう + します → べんきょう (study) + します (to do) = "to study"
そうじ + します → そうじ (cleaning) + します (to do) = "to clean"
けっこん + します → けっこん (marriage) + します (to do) = "to get married"
These are Group 3 verbs because they are based on the pattern of combining a noun with します.
On the other hand, verbs like はなします (speak) and おします (push) cannot be broken into a noun and します. They are standalone verbs and belong to Group 1.
This is the key difference:
If the word contains a separate noun + します, it’s a Group 3 verb.
If the verb cannot be split like that, it’s part of Group 1, even if it ends in します.
@Ninjapanese 今わかります。どもありがとうございます。
ない means "not"?
Okinai does it mean not wake up, or do not wake up?
Watashi wa Kawanai means I am not shopping?
Yes, ない means "not."
おきない means "not wake up" (describing a state, like "I don't wake up").
If you want to say "Don’t wake up!" (as a command), you need to add で and say おきないで!
For わたしはかわない, it means "I will not buy" or "I don’t buy."
Remember: ない is used to make verbs negative, but the meaning can change slightly depending on how it’s used in the sentence. 😊
I thought open was Hirakimasu ?
Good question ☺️
Interestingly.. or unfortunately… we have 3 ways to say open.
➊ あけます/開けます
(わたしは) ドアを あけます。
(watashi wa doa o akemasu)
- I’ll open the door.
When the subject is ‘the person’ who open the door, we use あけます.
❷ あきます/開きます
ドアがあきます。
(doa ga akimasu)
- The door will open.
When the subject is ‘the door’, we use あきます.
❸ひらきます/開きます
This one is special.
When you open a door both ways right and left then we use ひらきます。
←🚪→
Like the door of elevator, train or entrance etc.
So the common announcement you hear at a station in Japan is …📣
ドアが ひらきます。
(doa ga hirakimasu)
- The door will open.
AND.. the subject is normally ‘the door’ but it can also be ‘a person’ especially when we say ..
・Please open the book page 10.
ほんの10ページを ひらいてください。
(hon no 10pe-ji o hiraite kudasai)
So
➊あけます (subject is the person)
❷あきます(subject is the door)
❸ special
Hope this explanation helps you understand 🥰🥷❤️
@@Ninjapanese thank you so much for this answer. You taught me more with your reply than I was able to learn from looking through textbooks and dictionaries
すみませんが質問があります
[母がよく作る料理はカーレです]と[母がよく作っている料理はカーレです]どう違いますか?
お教えくださいませ😢😢😢
・母がよく作る料理はカレーです
The meal that my mom often makes is curry.
・(さいきん) 母がよく作っている料理はカレーです
The meal that my mom has often made (recently) is curry.
So it sounds more natural if you put 最近(さいきん) = recently for the second sentence.
@@Ninjapanese So sentence 1 is like a self-evident truth. From when I was a child until I became aware of things around me, the dish my mother often cooked was curry.
Sentence 2 is a spontaneous action in recent times. Like my mother watched TV or read a book and learned a new dish called curry and now she often cooks it for practice, but she didn't often cook it before. Am I right?
