This series is growing on me tbh. The insane amount of work necessary to get anything done at all reminds me of Oldschool Runescape. And the random chats are always hilarious as well!

You change the resistance by changing the diameter of the wire. It is potted in ceramic, wound around a ceramic core, or printed onto a ceramic substrate. Doped Silicon can also be used (boron or phosphorous added).

Belts don't need to run perpendicular to loaders. You can go Machine > Loader > Loader > Chest, with the belts under the loaders facing the same direction as the loaders. It means having 4 blocks between machine and chest instead of 3, but it looks more intuitive imo and hides the belt.

Resistors are made of a variety of materials including most commonly pure Carbon or Nichrome (nickle and chromium alloy). The bulk of the makeup of a resistor is still probably whatever the wire is made of (in this case clearly copper) so by volume it probably makes the most sense for the recipe still.

Also you keep TALKING about inserting more plates further down the line, but never actually do it, you just keep shoving more into the start of the line where everything is already backed up from bottlenecking further down the line. Insert them after the bottleneck where the belts are getting low.

Did no-one realise they already had Satisfactory at home?

5:55 You're right; copper is too conductive to reasonably make resistors out of. So instead (for a common type of resistor) they use carbon, and laser cut a path in it, longer for higher resistance (because the electricity has to push through more carbon).

how is the keypad hard to solve? It's four flip-flops in serial order where the output of one is always and combined with the next correct number to the jump/set/... entrance and all other numbers are or combined to the kill/delete/... entrance
That would be a massive security flaw if key pads actually would work like Duncans

Yet ones that work that way are incredibly common

So probably too late. but to remind you you can jsut set an assembler to make Balancers and manually stuff it with a certain number of mats. it'll make like, 10- 20 each time rather than having hte inputs automated or crafting in inventory
