Just do to how many play the sport compared to the accolades gotten
going by that criteria how is novak below serena for tennis. he has more grad slams atp 1000s more year end no 1s most weeks at number 1, has the longest win streak out of the two and had tougher competition (since the 2nd and 3rd best tennis players ever played at the same time he did). I just frankly don't see the argument of Serena being the tennis representative outside of being american.

Usain Bolt should be #1 but at bare minimum top 3. He’s literally and objectively the fastest human being who has ever lived.
As good as guys like LeBron, Brady and Messi are…their cases are based more so on opinions while also being apart of team sports so it’s just harder to say they’re solely responsible for their own success.
My top 3 would be
1. Bolt
2. Phelps
3. Serena

If steroids are a deciding factor then Jon Jones should not be the highest MMA guy. Even while ignoring the steroid use and blatant cheating, he is not a clear-cut GOAT. It's more of a top 5 all time conversation, where there is a short-list of people who all got arguments. But then if you are factoring in steroid usage as a negative? At the very least he shouldn't be standing on his own as the clear-cut number 1 (Within MMA) on this list as though he's head and shoulders above everyone else.

Brady is by far the better and more impactful athlete. He's won more, won faster, won later. I'd argue in a much tougher (to win) sport as well, due to injuries and the amount of moving pieces.

If you’re talking from a team sport, LeBron was more of a focal point than Brady. Bron has to play defense and offense for 48 mins with minimal rest time. Brady could go four and out and only see the field for half the game. Brons impact was greater than Brady’s. Brady was not as great as you are gassing him up to be sorry.
