So can anyone explain Esmeree's story? I know she was sent as a hostage to Almekia which doesn't make sense? Shouldn't she have been kidnapped? And I don't get why Zemeckis married her. This needs more backstory.

Yeah, it's a bit ambiguous about the hostage part. I think it was supposed to be for an exchange but as far as Zemeckis marrying her, he just says that he picked one of the many women in the Palace. He has a cold approach but it seems his wife does also. I wonder if you could consider them like a modern day Bonnie and Clyde? I wonder.

I think it's a common practice to marry a royalty to gain a foot in another country's throne. He chose the most suited person for his potential gain.

@@VeracityTrigger is there a link you could send me that I can download the Emu and play this game. It would honestly be a dream come true to play the grand Edition. I have probably over about 400 hours playing the original game as a kid growing up , it's one of my most favorite games of all time.
