Thanks Leo. I'm doing my first rookie's race on a community league server. Everyone is running the 488s around Barcelona and I will be using your Ferrari setup from your other video. Do you have a Barcelona setup / guide?
Thank you Rob. I still don't started to training in Barcelona but when I do it I gonna publish hotlap and track guide. I just done my Imola hotlap and planning to training in Silverstone. There are a lot of short videos with little tips coming too 😉. Thank you for you support
@@Leosousa1 Next race for me is Misano with the 488 (non EVO)- starting to practice now. Let me know if there's a certain setup you have that you thik is best for Misano!
Leo, I'm having problems with putting the car on the correct tangent when cornering. As you had the G920 would you share with me the wheel sensitivity settings? No matter what car I use it steers too unless I change the steering ratio...but then it turns too slow.
Hi Philip. I don't change nothing but the wheel rotation that is setted to 980 degress. I think the default is a bit more. Another config you can change is the parameter Steer ratio on mechanical grip. Maybe gonna help you too with handling
@@Leosousa1 Thanks...no neither work, still too harsh on turn in.. it's hard to hit apex. Unless it's all in the set up I have no smooth input to the corner. Your input looks so deliberate and smooth..mine is either lag behind real steering input or more likely... always oversteer
There a difference related with force feedback on g923. In ACC the wheel works with a function called true force. This make the wheel much more smooth. And I felt this difference because I played with a g920 and with g923 i improved my time in 1s.. for me the FFB of g923 is much better, less artificial, but with even less responsiveness than t300 and even even less than fanatec hehe.. i gonna make a video to talk about it. Which cars are the best for each wheels. Just a spoiler: to play with a Porsche for example, a car that really need a quick response of the wheel, gonna be much more difficult with a g920 than a fanatec for example. For Ferrari or McLaren, not too much. I realized it when I start to drive on the wet and how i lost time because the wheel it simply didn't react to the car's behavior. with a fanatec the steering wheel practically Moves by itself when the car oversteer for example
@@Leosousa1 hey appreciate the commons and would look forward to that video...what settings and car would you recommend now for the g920....currently happy with bentleyy2018 ferrari488...bt still steering is too twitchy
Hello, new to ACC and sim racing in general. So I’m not familiar with some terms. What is “trailbraking?” I see it mentioned a couple times and tried to see what it was by watching the throttle and brake bar but couldn’t figure it out
Hi JC. No problem, everyone one day was a noob too. Trailbraking basically is you press the brake totally and start to release Little by little. It allow you to load more speed into the corner and In addition to improve the balance of the car at the beginning of the turn
Hey, thanks for the reply! I don’t know how I didn’t gather that from what I watched. But thanks for clarifying. Currently, I’m running 2:25 lap times around Spa and after watching the video, I realize I’ve doing it wrong. Never really considered the idea of trailbraking, but I think I will now. Thanks!
Nice mate. When I started to play I was doing 2:20..after training I started to do 2:18, later 2:17 and after to change from g920 to g923 2:16 (I gained 1sec). So keep pushing and when you think is impossible to improve try again for more two days.. Change the track, after some time back to the same track, Learn a bit about setup and I'm sure you gonna improve. Soon I gonna make a video explaining how I make my hotlaps with a lot of Tips
@@Leosousa1 Perhaps a wheel settings segment in there? I also use the 923 it’s comforting to see you put up such a blazing lap from a wheel brand that catches flak in the sim community. I myself am stuck on 2:19s right now but I’m very hopeful as I just got this 923 and ACC like 2 months ago and had to adapt to racing not on a game pad for the first time. (Xbox controller) Cheers, great video.
Thank you mate! Yeah, even with a non direct drive or top wheel like fanatec is possible to be fast.. Of course, maybe not on the same level as the aliens hehe.. I don't have any special setting for g923. Actually I just change the rotation to 980 (need confirm) degress, 90 on ffb and use clutch to brake
Thank you Louis. Yeah, I'm planing to make to brands hatch, Silverstone and Barcelona in a few weeks. Probably brands hatch on next week. Tell me what did you know about the new format (used on Imola & Monza). Did you like the on-board view or you prefer the outside view?
@@Leosousa1 I liked the on-board view more, but both have their pro's. The on-board shows your wheel steering angle and feels more natural, because I play only with cockpit view. Outside you can see where you place your car on kerbs ect. For me the best is the text and markers you insert and that you actually pause your video. Other track guides of other people I saw does not pause and its goes by so quick and just becomes a blur.
Nice, thank you for your feedback Louis. I gonna keep making the guides with on-board view and add two or three seconds in the moments of the text appear. Also, I gonna use outside view just in the moments that gonna be important to show the position of the car in the track.
Thanks man i just improved 3 seconds on my lap time with your setup ..the only thing is i still cannot go full throttle on the fast section after turn 1 . Is it supposed to be full throtle or you have to lift ?
Nice to know Cris! Yes, you can make the eau rouge in full throttle. Just try to attack the first left curb (using almost all the curb) after that go up with the car straight and just touch a little the right curb. If you are still losing the control of the car, increase a bit the value of rear anti-roll bar
