Funny Story: my '83 5.0 Mustang needed a caliper replaced, so I went to junkyard for caliper and also bought a rebuild kit.. While putting it back together it just would not go together and I was getting frustrated, my Friend noticed, brought me a beer, and lo and behold that caliper went right together LOL
Not that I'd like to see him go but He should be doing some moonlighting Advertising for them. He has just the right Charisma and Smile to sell Grease as a Degreaser!

Look for a manual S type jag as a donor, they can be had for under £1k drive away. Also the Jag V8’s are now the same as the 5.0 Ford. There’s a company who do a Jag V6 conversion but it’s £££.

after my damn oil filter sandwich plate leaked all over my front suspension in my F100, i went & bought some.....Super Clean! and it worked great to clean up the block/header and x-member without peeling off any paint or staining the aluminum or stainless. good stuff!
@fasterproms the 5mm Allen key in the back of the callipers isn't an automatic adjuster , need to pump the pedal then tighten the Allen key until the calliper is just lightly binding that's how to set the handbrake on them 👌
Back in the day we would mount a spare washer fluid pump in the trunk- drikled to both wheelwells- Instant spray - tires break loose Costed $40 & a few hours
11:05 I have never run the Hawk pads before. I have always been very happy with EBC reds on all my cars for a pad upgrade. They do not throw off a lot of dust and stop way better than a stock or part store brand pad.
Jeremy, take a look at EBC pads. Probably Yellow Stuff for track use. I've used them on many cars, they feel better and when I've had Green Stuff on the front, they generated as much dust as the normal pads on the rear. So a lot less cleaning for George.
Hoosiers, banked turns, and LS motors are not compatible without a dry sump or an accusump! Once you add some aero you will be seeing oil starvation in a hurry, if you aren't already. Great to see you out on the track ripping it!
Well special thanks to Jeremy's customer for coming on the video (welcome to the UA-cam family) and being cool about things. Weird stuff happens all the time. But aftermarket axles would be a good idea for him, I think.
If the Miata is to do road course work it needs a front splitter and a rear wing. They get silly light over 100 mph. Aero is your friend. All the Nascar wings that got taken off pretty much went to a bunch of Miatas. And definitely get some side latches for your hard top. It will stop it from lifting up.
Super clean is no joke, My wife worked at a pizza restaurant that hadn't been kept like it should have been. Floors where slick with pizza grease, and you couldn't see the grout. We thought they were brown tiles and black grout, no no no... brick red and white grout. we used alot of super clean to get it all back 4 to 1 dilution and about 20 gallons total... but the floor looked new... as a side note, it will melt the bottoms of your shoes and peel the skin off your hands at full strength... wear your PPE.
Stock miatas have 2 tow hooks in the front that people call "baby teeth". Not sure if you removed those but if you didn't it would probably make a better spot to tow from lol. They also sell straps that bolt into the holes if you removed them. And don't feel bad about the brakes, a ton of people make that mistake the first time doing the rears.
Sorry for this comment but, it's good to see professional folks have issues too. I am constantly fighting something on my car I have had for 20+ years.
Should have put some water down to get it to start spinning first before, like at the drag strip, dead hook up is hard on any axle/dif. If the cam sensor is out and you clear the code it still isn't gong to magically fix itself. Then you take a chance on towing the car when you have people back at the shop who have car hauling trailers all over the place.
Just from that you can tell how smart they are the top she said no to quit the other one stood there and looked around trying to figure out what it did wrong
I was going to show a friend of mine how to launch and run his car at the dragstrip, so he was riding shotgun and around the 90ft mark, the engine let go and made a nice window in the side of the block. So I not only felt like crap over that, I also felt bad because it was later in the evening, and because of the clean up some people that had been in line for like an hour didn't get to run. So even tho' it wasn't really my fault, I still felt about an inch tall. lol.

Just worked on a buddy's 03 miatas learned all about those goofy calipers. Weirdest adjusters I've seen in a while. Had to replace both of his anyway. Whoever worked on it last left the plugs out, and the adjuster Allen's fell out. Pretty hard to adjust them back in without those.

Jeremy I've got a question? Theroitcly u could run a inter cooler on a natural aspiration motor, Idk how much air flow u would loose? Can u try this experiment on the miata? I'm sure the dyno would make very small improvements but on the track I bet it's huge. Maybe do the Chrysler thing and make an interchiller type setup? Nitrogen and meth nozzles spraying the intercooler, I'm just throwing ideas, maybe McFarland science team can get involved aswell
