Poltronieri the late Franca Sozzani in an interview years ago said that there was talent in Italy but that Italian girls were too “spoilt” for that career, as they missed the mother, the boyfriend, the grandmother, and so on... I do not know if she was joking or not but she definitely knew well the Italian fashion world! 😂 Italy has a girl who makes it big every now and then but cannot even be compared to a country with similar size like France that has a lot more (with Brazil the comparison is even less feasible)
