I know that you cherry-picked a moment where the guests on the LastLap podcast actually agreed that Max is an unreal demi-god driving a rocketship, to dunk on comments you disagree with, but some guests on that podcast/watchalong have had some seriously shite takes. I assume that's what the comments talk about.
As someone who has to watch their entire livestream replay every week to make these videos, they definitely aren’t some anti-Max Verstappen podcast. Sure you can go back to my Australia episode for instance and find one guest who was a massive Lewis fan cheering for rivals crashes, but overall they’re just a group of fans who want to see close racing no matter who is at the front. I didn’t need to “cherry pick” anything for this video, you can go back to any previous stream of them reacting to the races and see them giving Max props. I only decided to use these instances to address comments I see on my own videos every week that they are chronic Max haters when in reality they’re not because the frequency of these comments had gotten out of hand (you watch an 8-9 minute compilation of 4-5 different streamers and this is all you can take away from it?). I would never address comments like this (especially in a video) if I knew I had to cherry pick, or do searching in other to prove them as wrong. This just happened to be something a guest said right after Verstappen’s move on Perez that I decided to include. There’s this misconception that all these F1 media personalities are out to get Max when in reality they just want a close race. I for one, don’t care who wins although I’m a bit more biased towards Red Bull (I’ve liked Max’s style for a while + the work I’ve started doing with their esports team). That being said, I’ll root for any underdog that looks to bring it to Max in a given weekend just so we can get a nice battle on our hands, like we did in the Sprint on Saturday for example.
Honestly, the Max hate was at the very least understandable. Its your usual F1 tradition of hating the utterly dominant team/driver, whether its Schumacher, Vettel or Hamilton. Perez hate tho, yikes people really really wanted him out because he's underperforming compared to the once-in-a-generation talent of Max. Granted there is some solid reasoning as to why, but ever since Miami and Max completely decimating Perez's confidence with that comeback, people are just utterly vicious against Perez.
This was an incredible race but as usual teamLH are going to say it was sooo boring and that they will not continue watching Formula One, just like they have been saying for the last year LOL but still here they are race after race saying that they are done with formula one but they still keep coming back to hate on Max 😂🤣
