- BMW G80 M3 - Today we find out again at the airfield with some live testing, how much difference can a tuning box really make on the new G80 M3 competition kindly provided by @BIGMSB
There's no hiding the fact that the front end on this car is controversial! do you like it or not?
Shite in a bucket 🤣
Prefer the original BMW grill. I guess I could convince myself if a good deal comes up, to get one in black to avoid being disappointed!
The grill has grown on me for sure, you don't need to look at it from behind the wheel.
Looks way better in dark colours except black imo, white, nardo grey & yellow are the worst as they make the grill stand out. Having a nice looking number plate helps break up the size of it too.
It’s beautiful
Those numbers are horrendous. You need to use launch control to get full potential of the car.
I have a 2022 RWD M3 and below are my draggy results. Car is stock.
0-60: 3.86s
1/4 mile: 11.79s
60-120mph: 7.66s
60-130mph: 9.70s
The road surface is terrible m3 will be spinning alot not ideal especially for rwd
@@mushy1983123on track my rwd was running 11.5-11.6 when it was stock 😢
@@emmanuelmijares9731 sounds about right
So have you guys not have heard of lunch control?!?!
This guy doesnt even deserve this car, omfg!
Didn’t activate launch control and wheels were spinning crazy
Yeah they need to reshoot this video. This M3 needs new tires (possibly) and a better driver bc wow…
So much to say where to start. First of all you need to warm up the tires first if you are going for accurate times, second the weather looks pretty cold maybe try on a hotter day? Lastly try it on launch control & no more than a quarter tank of gas. Thanks
Sad to have a car channel and they don’t know that they need to use launch control 😅
Do in gear acceleration times , no traction issues and much more relevant to normal road driving
That's not really a test, that's just padel to the metal, for a proper 0-60 and quarter mile test you need to activate the launch control, and preferably in manual mode as well.
That surface must be absolutely horrendous, well it looks like it as the times your getting are pretty crap for the car.
it isn't the best surface, but the point being is the VS element of it. Seeing if the tuning box makes a difference
@@awesomecars1 how’s the tuning box performing day to day? Is there any scope to fit a JB4 on the car as I comparison to the RC box??
Shocking standard one does 3.6 need to change ur timing gear
Comment section speaks for itself. Can get way better times. Maybe use launch control and get some more heat in the tyres
Stock m3 is only 2 secs slower than the 1000hp m5?
Wtf.. this is an 11 second car!
what was the meaning of this video??
A random question, but is Awesome related at all to the guys from Rossendale in the early 90’s???
Don't care how bad the road was the. Time don't make sense
Come on guys, my 2011 Lexus is 350 could hit those pre chip numbers😂😂 USE Launch control!
Should of let msb send it 0161 gang business
Noobs
those numbers dont make sense.... am I missing something?
Yeah... and that would be matching RWD and around 500 hp with that kind of surface. Also, it appears that it's a pretty cool day. Need hot tires and a sticky surface. xDrive would have helped B I G time.
They did not use launch control. Also launching in comfort is better and cold tires. I got 0-60 3.79 stock in warm climate.
How can a stage 2 m140i be faster 100-200
Not great times
Can’t see it getting any traction issues ar 100kph
Need to do it again but with a proper tune to really see the difference.
Click bait title and thumbnail, no drag race, only 1car, not 2 like in the thumbnail.
Probably the worst comparaison i ever seen
4.6 to 60😂 race chip is slower than stock
It ran a 4.74 stock ? Or are you referring to the 3.9 claimed by BMW "on a dry and grippy surface"?
@@simonbarnes7789 There is quite literally an endless quantity of videos on youtube (real world scenario) of a G80 performing significantly better than this lol. You don't need perfect conditions.
