Loved this tutorial!! I made a natural wreath from my hemlock, spruced and holly trees and shrubs from your instructions which were so helpful! I added 3 white dried starfish that I bought at Michaels. The white starfish contrasted nicely with the red holly berries too!
What a pretty wreath ! At first I was thinking don't add the oranges but as usual , Laura was correct ... They really made it pop... Merry Christmas everyone !
You have the best wreath tutorials of anyone I've seen. Thanks for sharing. I picked up a couple wreath forms at the thrift store the other day. Now I need to go scavage for some greenery. Thanks so much.
I wish we had enough of these kinds of elements in our yard to make such a pretty wreath! I’m trying my best to add more winter interest every year so I can get to this point, but of course it’s a process. Yours came out great!
Good morning from the west side of Oregon. Laura I'm so glad you are up this time of day to keep me company. And it's nice hearing from everyone else also and to know that I'm not the only one awake at this hour, 4:00 in the morning. Isn't the snow beautiful and the Sunshine makes it so sparkly in addition to Laura's beautiful sparkly happy face. This is going to be a very good day.
I’m up with you, in Michigan, but Laura is still sleeping. She again mentioned in their last Highlights video that they are up late at night and sleep later in the morning. But I’m THANKFUL that the video is set to upload early in the day.
At the end I would have added one more bundle, but of course Laura sees space for 2 or three! And then the oranges didn't seem necessary, but as usual, Laura knows best! They really did make it brighter! You have such a gift for teaching, thanks for always bringing us along.
I wasn't so sure about the bunny tails but they gave the wreath whimsical movement and the orange slices topped it off beautifully! Nicely done, Laura!!
This was so fun to watch. Have you ever attached a wreath to the front of your truck? Seems like it would be something to romance the ordinary during the holidays. I have always wanted to but I end up talking myself out of it with the snow, salt, and countless carwashes. However, this might be something I do this year during the week of Christmas. Merry Christmas!
Tutorial or not, if was fun!!! It is easy to understand why you cultivate plants for cutting, decorating, and wreath making. So much easier to have them at hand. Lovely wreath!
I especially like the bunny tails. Would totally be worth it to grow this for projects! I can see making little bundles of these for decoration on a Christmas tree as well. 🌲🌲🌲👏👏👏👏💚💚💚
Laura these are my fav types of videos! No pressure but I love your interior Christmas decorating too, will you do videos of that this year? I always rewatch all you older ones during the festive season they are so cosy. Also thank you for all that you guys do, I love watching every day even the weekly recap even though I am not a gardener. I’m in Australia and it’s such a peaceful way to end my day when you post each night (our time). Merry Christmas to your beautiful family ❤ btw we decorated our church stage this year inspired by you with giant gingerbread house village like you did for the garden centre, it looks amazing thanks for the inspo xx
The wreath is gorgeous! The fluffy greenery is so pretty, and I just love the bunny tails. The addition of the orange slices does make it pop. Have a wonderful day!
I live in a rural area and forage every winter for greens to not only make wreaths but for swags and to fill my vintage containers. My garage is full of some right now. Last year my daughter and I had a wreath making party and I taught our friends how to make them.
Laura, you should have your peeps send in photos of wreaths made from their gardens. I feel a contest in the making! Winner gets a wreath form, a pair of Felcos and some paddle wire or just props for showing their creations in a future video. I'm loving this idea especially if participants come from all the growing zones. I forgot to say, your wreath is very pretty the oranges do give it a pop. I bet it smells so good too.
It looks marvelous with the oranges. Love seeing Russell in your videos. I began watching your channel a couple of years ago. And early on Russell loved to steal the show on many of your videos. Very entertaining and very informative content. Always a pleasure to watch. May you and your family have a marvelous Very Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 and thank you so very much for sharing your journey with us. God bless
Laura as always, beautiful. Thank you for the refresh course on the wreath, I really needed it. Merry Christmas Laura and Aaron and family and to everyone on UA-cam, from Arizona
So gorgeous! I just want to say because of you Laura I have been making my own wreath and bows for my house, for my family and friends every Holidays. So thank you for sharing and teaching me/us! 💜 Happy Holidays to you and your!
I never made wreaths before I watched your earlier tutorial. I am hooked! It is so fun to see it come together. If only I had more time I wouldn't have a single wreath or garland that was artificial.
I love the "realness" of your foraging. I was laughing thinking, yep that would be me, snow to the face. Lol thanks for not editing that part out. It makes the rest of us feel like we're not alone when it happens to us! Lol
I am inspired!!! Drying orange, lemon, and lime slices as I type....I have watched your past dried fruit wreath video at least 20 times, Im finally going to create one for myself....Love all of the wreaths you make!
My grandmother taught me how to make wreaths many, many years ago. It was so nice to get a refresher in wreath making from Laura. This is a beautiful wreath! 🌿💚🌿
The wreath looks so beautiful on the door! I have been making my own wreath since learning from you. The joy and satisfaction that I feel from making a wreath gathering from our property is hard to describe. Thank you!
I am sorry, Laura, but when that big pile of snow came off and hit you in the face, I had to laugh 😃. You just said I hope I don't get a big face full of snow and BAM! you got a face full of snow. The wreath is beautiful!! The oranges made the wreath stand out more.
I love your technique of creating bunches first then layering them onto the form. So much easier than the way we used to make them back in the 70’s & 80’s by laying a base layer all the way around then wiring on more layers and details.
Beautiful tree! Tradition we had growing up and I continue with my son and granddaughter; we would always get a new ornament every year as a gift. When I moved out I had a great start on my own Christmas tree 🎄
Merry Christmas! I am a big fan. Also a fan of Monte Don on BBC’s Gardeners World. He has named his garden Long Meadow. Have you and Aaron ever considered naming your property?
Oh that looks so pretty. I've never tried making a foraged wreath before. One, I don't have the supplies growing here, and two, that would cause a snowball effect. I would be making them until Christmas for everybody. lol Merry Christmas!
Beautiful wreath! Ive never attempted to make my own wreath before, but after watching this video, you’ve convinced me to try! Not only is it so much prettier, but so much more fresh looking as well! Lovely job!
Oh what a beautiful morning Sweet Laura, in your winter wonderland. Doing what you love to do, given of your self. . Spreading love to all. Have a magical day. Sending my Love @ blessings to you all I love your wreath. Wanda In Ok.
I love wreath videos. It reminds me of the first Garden Answer video I saw. I was looking for a tutorial and enjoyed the video so much I ended up binge watching all the Garden Answer videos. Years later I am still a fan and gardener. Thank you Laura for introducing me to this wonderful hobby.
🎄❄️This is so beautiful, Laura, and you are a great teacher for sure. I couldn’t help but thinking: “Neither rain, not sleet nor high winds, or snow in the face” can keep Laura or any other gardener from creating a fantastic natural wreath in the dead of winter! LOL. Enjoy a lovely week everyone from cold, damp southeast Michigan. ☃️🤶🏻❄️
I love your talent in creating beautiful wreaths. So great taste in everything you are doing. I watch your videos when I need to relax. Thank you! Gabriella
Lol, first, Happy Hollidays. Haven't been putting alot of comments because I have been so busy. But have watched your channel for a long time. Actually, you were first utube channel I ever watched. Have helped me get back into gardening. So, may you and your family be blessed and safe thru this Christmas Season. 🎄
Hallo Laura, was für ein super Kranz. Wie alle deine Kränze und Dekoideen. Vor allem ist doch toll, wenn man sich das Material aus dem eigenen Garten holen kann. Weiter so ! I never would have thought to use rose hips and dry grasses in a Christmas wreath before but it looks perfect. Thanks for the great ideas .
