I have read that Jeanine Mason actually does speak Spanish. So why the flock can't she pronounce Ortecho correctly. She (and everyone else actually) pronunces it like it was Orteco.
She is hispanic. Don't get me wrong, but most English speakers - especially Americans - don't give a sh*t about how names in other languages are pronounced. Even if they hear it umpteen times, they simply pronounce it 'English' and that's it. So the 'rest of the world' has to adapt, since English has been chosen as the official world language and not Chinese or Spanish, which far more people speak. In order to appear as 'native' or legal as possible and not to attract attention, they Englishize it.
