Usually, I'm not one to write comments. Think this is the first I've written in a decade. But seeing as I finished Disquiet Gods barely half an hour ago, I just gotta say that the series is the best Sci-Fi series I've read so far (and it's not even finished yet . Yay 😊). I discovered it through booktube and read it over the span of a few months, being a rather slow reader myself and not having a lot of time on my hands. The story gripped me and wouldn't let go though and here we are. That's to say: thanks for writing this. One can truly feel the love, especially with all of these updates, the dedication to the fans and the community that's formed because of it. I can't wait for Shadows Upon Time and will read the novellas to curb my addiction, if you will. Have a great end of the year, Dear Author 😉 (and whomever else might be scrolling through this comment section)!
I love long books. This is probably my favorite series and I am a bit sad to see the ending of course. Hoping to see plenty more books from you in the future! Also I love all the wood in your study there.
I found your series at the start of September 2024. Just (45 minutes ago) finished the Disquiet Gods. Finding you channel and hearing that you are working on the last book (unlike other grand F/SF authors) brings tears of joy (much like Hadrian met his "father" both of the times)
This is great news, I finished Disquiet Gods a few months ago and decided to take a break from reading, and scheduled my PE (Professional Engineers) exam. With all the studying I don't have time to read, and now when I take my exam in May I have book 7 to look forward to. I'll have a few months between my exam and book 7 releasing so maybe I'll re read the series before the release. Thank you for all your hard work.
hello. i met you at the dragon steel convention and bought your diamond edition at the convention which you signed. loved it and love the series. moving on to book 2. i hope you can do the same beautiful binding/edition for the rest of the series
Just finished Disquiet Gods, and it was awesome. I can't wait for the big finale. You are an amazing writer, and I can't thank you enough for actually finishing your project. ❤
I just started a book tube channel for my love of fantasy. My favorite book being Name of the Wind. Not only for its story but it’s lyrical and poetic prose. Now I’m on the last 2 books of wheel of time. I’m excited to see this journey to the end. But I’ve also been craving something that of Name of the Wind. Those beautiful and magical prose. And just recently your books popped up on my radar. And I did a little research and learned you have a similar writing style to Rothfuss. I really want to dive into your series. I’ve heard amazing things and I’ve never read Scfi before so why not dive into Sun Eater?
Wait you're at 318k and just started Goddodin?? Slow down there Tolstoy. Just kidding, amazing news, can't wait to read it. Might be the first sun eater book that takes me two weeks to get through. Also, good luck with your first battle from a naval pov, i know those are your favorite. I kinda love how you started talking about writing shorter books after AOM, only to put out your two biggest bricks to date
Congratulations demon in white is one of the big 3 of suneater big 3 are demon in white, kingdoms of death, disquiet gods they are the best there is in the series
Why office so empty, love the wood paneling mind you but why so empty. Get a 3D print of the Demiurge destroying Gododdin and put it over your right shoulder.
Something tells me that Hadrian has taken the easy path in being the narrator and that the quiet isn’t finished with him yet. I sense a coup of the other coup by prince Alexander. He was told to choose the hard path. Writing isn’t the hard path. He doesn’t want Crown, which is the hard path. Thoughts anyone?
@ Ty for replying. I’m showing to my wife!! I’m actually listening to “Demon in White” right now waiting for WAT on Friday. But the thought came to me as I’m listening. Always take the hard path. Straight, always down, never right or left. And how he admonished Alex on loyalty and relationships. On how the Empire has to evolve or it will be lost. He’s the only character with a respectful relationship with sooo many races. Based on mutual respect. Just a thought from the pastful future lol
I'm weary of Alexander since I heard him speaking Anakins few lines in Demon in white I think. 😅 I was like that boy is up to no good. That and Hadrian saying he will sign his death.
@@glory4645 Also, the “absolute “ says he is the easiest way forward. I don’t think he comes the through Alexander’s line. Just me, because what was all that for. The quiet had Hade clear the way, so he can his line can rule. Hope Chris doesn’t over think this like Game of Thrones
Hi again, I left a comment maybe a day or 2 ago regarding a question about Gibson. I'm wondering if my comment has been deleted cause I can no longer see it in this post. For what it's worth I've read all the books and I'm a massive fan and would accept any answer for my question. Hopfully wasn't offensive. Just burning to know why Haydrian said a sentance in EOS. Is this a frequently asked question? Or is there already an explanation out there?
@SunEaterBooks really? That's so weird. The question was around Haydrian saying something along the lines of 'that was the last time I ever seen him' in EOS. Maybe I'm missremembering. But I was wondering if perhaps this was the original plan? I've seen a few reddit posts suggest Haydrian lies in his narative, but I don't think that is the case personally. Would just be good to clarify
@SunEaterBooks I've rechecked and it's chapter 13 in EOS, however I am missremembering slightly. It says 'I'm glad he did not see my future, for it is not a future either of us would have chosen for me'. This can still ring true in part though. I appreciate the reply though. I'm sure most authors have a few glitches in their works, especially when on such a grand scale
@RajeshChodisetty That was the impression I got when he was brought up during the What Makes Great Fantasy livestream in how he kind of brushed him aside.
I don't have any ill feeling toward Brandon Sanderson. I've read like 3 chapters of Elantris like 10 years ago and didn't continue. I don't like hard magic on principle, but that doesn't mean I don't like the man. We've never met. As for the convention, I go where the readers are.
Having the final book in the series be the longest is one of the great tropes of fantasy literature!
Oof.
Let it be looong Halfmortal! This ending deserves it.
lets have a wind and truth sized book!

I'm excited to read Disquiet Gods this month. Love your books man. Thanks for what you do!
It was awesome meeting you in person Mr. Ruocchio! I can’t wait to catch up on the series before it concludes and jump on this hype train!
I pray your work comes out before the World War 3 apocalypse
psyched to see you going to dragonsteel! thatll be my first stop when the main hall opens up
See you tomorrow!

Congratulations--make the book as long as it needs to be. It's one of the few things that I'm looking forward to next year
Yay and boo 😢… it’s really exciting to get to the end but so sad that it’s coming to an end
Great video Christopher! See you next year!
Love the series, can't wait to read it 😁 thank you for all that you do 🙏
I’ll see you at Dragonsteel! 🎉
Thanks for the update Christopher! Hope you have a great time in Utah!!
Destiny awaits, as promised we'll host a series read along when it's complete.
Looking forward to it.
Getting real close, man!
I want to get all your books I’ve never read them thank you!!!
Plz have the cover be the demiurge or a watcher or the unmade

It's a nightmare, man. It's so long.
The shorter books are starting after this series.
Just received “Demon in White”, “Kingdoms of Death”, “Ashes of Men” & “Disquiet Gods”! 😎🙌
Congratulations demon in white is one of the big 3 of suneater big 3 are demon in white, kingdoms of death, disquiet gods they are the best there is in the series
A year (roughly) to catch up in time for the finale? Good thing I’m diving into Howling Dark immediately after Wind and Truth.
cannot wait to read it 😃
Very cool video thumbnail :)
So exciting! Will the second printing of Broken Binding editions be signed?
Yes, God help me.
Regarding books, especially good books, the longer the better.
So First Letters of Imrah and Guns of Pharos will be in Tales vol 4?
Guns will be, but the letter will have some other destiny.
Will the there be a collection of the novellas into a single volume once the main series is finished?
The novellas, maybe. The short stories, yes.
@ that would be awesome!
Read Barrow King yesterday. Have you written more short stories?
Yes, there's one more Adaman story on the Patreon. I plan to do another after book 7.
Tales volume 4 for Christmas? Please!
I'm afraid not. It had to get pushed to next year.
Gimme that sweet sweet Green Angel Tower word count!
Any chance on the next diamond edition the font can be a larger size? Even with my glasses it’s VERY small 😅
Yeah man, that was a mistake. Lesson learned.
Any plans when kingdom of death is going to be released as a HARDCOVER?
Else congratulations on the progress!
Next year.
will there be reprints of disquiet gods hardcover us version ?
The paperback comes out on the 17th. There will be a new hardcover run in the future, probably late next year.
What about the DAW hardcover reprints?
1-3 are out, 4-6 will be next year.
@@SunEaterBooks Thank you so much :)
This must be.

The shelves are empty because by books are still in boxes because the rest of my shelves aren't done yet.

Even if this was a 'writers mistake' it wouldn't take anything away from the series for me. I absolutely love the sun eater series
@@megc18 I don't know the specific line you mean, but it's possible it's a simple glitch. There are a few in the books.
