Thank you so much for the help Geo Girl. Maybe a small detail but I really appreciate microediting taking out the natural pauses in your speech pattern. Really condenses the lesson and trims the fat so to speak; I found it very helpful. You've gained a new subscriber. If you're not in the actual teaching profession, I'd recommend it because you're a natural fit.
I am so glad you found the video helpful and you like the pace and length! Thanks so much for the feedback :) And that is so touching that you think I would make a good teacher because becoming a professor is my goal! :D
Thank you so much maam for conglomeration lectures of all the depositional environments, it really helps me to get a complete knowledge about depositional environments. I wish i could have seen these during release date 😢. Thank you again, appreciated 😊✌️.
These videos are really informative and you have done a really good job in condensing all the relevant points. Will it be possible to make such a video on karst topography and environment as well? Cheers!!
Both! To my understanding, playa lakes are dried up lakes that form due to over-evaporation, which causes evaporite deposition (minerals that preciptiate from over-saturated water, such as calcite, gypsum, & other salts), which then can be eroded by wind and transported to nearby dune fields, which leaves the playa lake as a dual depositional/erosional feature. Hope that makes sense ;)
This video just really reminds me of White Sands, a National Monument that I love to visit quite often. I’m pretty fascinated by it’s geology and of course I’m especially obsessed with it’s prehistory, specifically with the fossilized tracks that were left behind in the gypsum by ancient humans and the Ice Age Megafauna. 🦣🐾 Isn’t that interesting?
@@GEOGIRL It is really cool my friend. In the visitor center, there’s a new little exhibit featuring the casts of a fossilized tracks that were left behind by a Harlan’s ground sloth, compared to human tracks. 🦥 So I guess this all explains why the gift shop always sold Ice Age merchandise. 🦣 Fun Fact: Smilo came from that gift shop along with a few other Ice Age plush animals.

Better than many videos. Explaining with the pictures helped me a lot.
Great video, felt like a blitz review of my aeolian geomorphology class!

@@GEOGIRL Thanks a lot.Much appreciated :)
Harikasın Rachel...

This is awesome. Thank you!
Many sources claims Playa lake as erosional feature. Plz clear my doubt whether it is erosional or depositional or a result of both

I've always wanted to create a geology channel since my mineralogy days :(
Go for it! You can still do it! :)

Oh wow! I have visited White Sands many times, but never seen the fossilized tracks! That sounds so cool, I will have to go check that out :D
