Thanks for sharing your adventure . I’m Curious if you don’t mind sharing how much did it cost you to get set up in this episode how much money did it cost to run the dredge and how much was your return in gold thanks for the video looking forward to your reply

We lived in Girdwood in the late 1950's and I and a friend spent a lot of time panning for gold om Crow Creek. At the time an old man named Erickson lived on Crow Creek, quite a ways up the Creek. He had a Placer mine there and would let us kids borrow a gold pan and pan for gold on his claim. We got to keep all the gold we found. We would spend as many hours as we could stand in that icy water and would then take our meager little bit of gold and walk back down to Girdwood and home to show off our gold.

Hi when using a nozzle you can decrease your angle on the sluice get it down to about 3 degrees. You are blasting way more water threw than what the sluice is designed for.School of hard knocks.Luck Mcbain.

PLACE A ROBBER MAT IN TOP OF BOX TO CALM THAT WATER DOWN , SO YOU DONT FLUSH OUT THE GOLD AS YOUR WATER IS TO ROUGH. dONT BE AFRAID TO PICK UP THAT BOX A BIT AND TRY IT. i THINK YOU HAVE A BIT TO MUCH ANGLE. ASK WHAT WORKS FOR OTHERS. ONLY A FOOL DOESNT ASK QUESTIONS, PEOPLE LIKE TO HELP ONE ANOTHER.

I think your losing alot of gold , your lil sluice is set too steep with too much flow . Everytime that head comes out of the water and goes back in your blowing gold out of your sluice as well . You will get some but theres probably alot more in your tailings . Add 4 ft to your sluice with half the angle the top is at . Good effort though .

When you find clay that wont break up , throw it in a bucket of water over night and it will be mush yhe next day. Happy dredging. A C from Oregon

If you just lower the velocity of water in the box you might have gotten a decent yield!
Use high rpm for pickup but divert some of the volume coming into the box ! You should have the burden of keeping bigger material moving through your box other wise your shitting most of the yellow out of the tail.
