    Used to get very mixed results doing it this way, some bottles came out nicely carbonated, some were flat. I now add dextrose to each bottle separately then add the beer using a wand, perfect every time.

    i put the priming solution at the bottom than siphon the beer on top of it so it evenly mixes.

    I’d usually use a bit less than a teaspoon per bottle and it worked pretty well

    I use light corn syrup for brewing and priming, it’s easy to get at the supermarket (Karo) or store brand.

    it's telling you how much dry sugar to use in your volume of beer,,but now you are increasing this volume by adding a cup of water or is it an insignificant amount? who told you how much water you need? perhaps you need to take this new volume into account for re calculating

    Does starting and final gravity make any difference? I started at 1.075 and 9 days later am at 1.010. It's not stopped fermenting but slowed down enough that taste testing ect is already killing the batch in size and tastes dry even though still some sugar.
    If I cold crash a growler then rack into a 500ml-750ml bottle do you think that remaining sugar is good?
    (It's a cyzer/apple and honey) so not beer but I would like to carbonate a bottle before it's gone to the liquor fairy.
    Cheers bruh

    Hello, I had some questions about carbonating my home brew.
    When my water has come to a boil do I KEEP the water boiling for 7-10 min after I put in my priming sugar.
    Or
    am I supposed to take the boiling water OFF the burner and stir in the priming sugar until it's dissolved.
    I have also seen people put the priming sugar into the water THEN put the pot on the stove and then start a 7-10 min timer when the water begins to boil.
    I ask this because I booked my water, then added the priming sugar, and continued boiling for 7min.
    Was this wrong? My 3 month Stout is not carbonated. Should I wait another week (been conditioning for 2 weeks) to see if the bottles just needed more time?
    What is the best priming options from the ones I listed above. Thank you.
    Any information will be much appreciated.

    Very well explained! One question, after I prime and bottle, I can refrigerate? Or do I need to keep my bottles at the same temp I plugged in on the calculator? 🤔

    Hi, for a 1 gallon batch its better to use less water? Do the beer will get too much watery taste?

    You don't let the priming sugar cool down first before adding to the bucket?

  • @Sustainabeat

    Do you want to let the sugar solution cool first before putting it into the fermenter? Is it possible to kill the remaining yeast with the heat of the solution?

    Do you need to add priming sugar to a corny keg? Once I rack to the keg, how long until the beer is ready to be drank? Can I keep it at room temp until it’s ready to drink?

    • @HOMEBREW4LIFE
      @HOMEBREW4LIFE  3 роки тому

      never priming sugar to a corny keg (that's what co2 is for). There's no point in racking if your going to keep it at room temperature, just leave it in the fermenter. 4 days at 10psi unless you wanna force carb like me.

    What are your thoughts on corn sugar priming tablets? Just bought them for the first time and not sure what to expect.

    • @HOMEBREW4LIFE
      @HOMEBREW4LIFE  5 років тому

      Its cheaper just to use table sugar. I used tablets once, and the carbonation was in consistent for each beer but keep us posted. Cheers Chase!
