I've been using the pro's for a little over a year. They're a great value! With a 30w power adapter, I've measured them in the 90-96db range at max volume, still producing clean, clear audio. If you're on a budget, it doesn't get much better.
@sleepyapu6448 depends on how they are powered. If getting power from an external power adapter, they will stay on until you hold down the volume knob to power them off. If powered by the pc, then they shut down with the pc.
How do you know if they are powered by the ubsc PD? I have them and the power light does not come on when plugged into the PD, only once they are plugged into data do they light up. I am not hearing a sound bump
@Retread268 click the volume knob and a light will come on indicating the mode it's in purple is usb, blue is Bluetooth, green is aux if I'm not mistaken. One of the smaller buttons to the right of volume is the mode button. To turn them off press and hold volume for a few seconds and release without turning it (turning the knob at all will make it ignore the power off)
Just got these and been testing with multiple audio sources. I can say that this video doesn't do justice to the quality of the speakers output recorded here. I played all the tracks listed and can tell you that it sounds wayyy better in the real source. In case anyone is toying between this and other Pebble versions, I would recommend this for sure. I had the 2.0 which is an absolute budget speaker and don't sound that great. Thank you for reviewing this! EDIT : After giving this some thought, I think the closest comparison to the sound quality NOT the max sound output, is from an 2022 M1 Macbook Pro 14". Hope this helps get you some idea.
Hey @hottroddinn! You’re welcome and thanks for sharing your experience. It was always going to be tough showing what these sound like over a UA-cam video but you’re absolutely right these sound better in person.
Imagine, had just added these to my Amazon wishlist then I bumped into your video…huge help. Massive thanks. i’ll get myself a pair as these come in my best colour too
I think they’ll both sound similar, assuming the Leviathan is without the subwoofer. I think it comes down to looks and connectivity. If you like the look of the Leviathan and it suits your desk setup then go for it. It has usb-c connectivity for your laptop/pc and Bluetooth for another device like a phone but it doesn’t have 3.5mm input which I use on my Pebble, all my devices pass sound through the monitor and into the pebble via 3.5mm aux. My desk is also better suited to two seperate speakers rather than a bar in the middle. I think it comes down to the looks, the pebble pro are two round dark green speakers with a little rgb and the leviathan is a black block with more pronounced RGB. To each their own when it comes to aesthetics. 🤷♂️
@@LovingTechLife Asus ROG Swift PG32UCDM My monitor doesn't have integrated speakers and I want the best quality & looks as well. What would you go with? I have a pretty solid table for a PC monitor, and there is room for a soundbar or 2 speakers
Hey @@plasticJesusPiece ! USB-C ports can output up to 100W but it does depend on the laptop manufacturer on the actual output they have it configured to.
Hi Adeniyidario! Yes I was, I mentioned that in the video. Still using them as my main speakers too! I like them even more now I’ve had more time with them. Let me know if you have any questions.
@@LovingTechLife. I think these speakers sound like almost every other speaker. They follow the trend of bloated midrange and bass at the expense of clarity and airyness at the top end. Kinda like the speaker enclosure is a box of Kleenex. And I’ll bet every spoken word with an “s” sounds like th. …another lisping speaker I can’t tolerate. I wish I were wrong, I would have loved these otherwise. Maybe their cheaper version sounds better. That’s sometimes the case when speakers don’t try to make bass to appeal to the kids. I want clarity of spoken words so that I can understand and watch movies.
@@LovingTechLife R980T, they're great, got them for $57 too and for that price they are more than adequate. I had Pebble Pros before, and they weren't terrible, but yeah Edifier is just a massive step-up. I wanted to save a bit of money, otherwise would have gotten something like R1280DBS. I would only recommend Pebbles if you truly have no space at all for speakers.
WHY WHY would they put that RGB ON IT. same thing with the on light why force light options it could be such a sleek design but it's 2024 we should not have to put up with bad design choices like this. Default should always be no lights!

Hey Justin! Thanks for sharing, that’s great to know. I’ve continued using mine and have been really happy so far.
What will happen to the RGB after I have my PC shut down? Will the RGB light shut with it or keep going

Hi Hamzah! You’re welcome, glad it was helpful. 👍🏻
That green kills it for me
I'm wondering if I can just paint them. That green plastic looks super cheap
Your reviews are great, super clean editing style. And packed full of information!

thnk you for the recordings, it helped me a lot!

The lack of color option is pretty weird... I bought a pair. I know I will be frustrated when comeday they release this version in black hahaha

Very different from each other but which one would you recommend ??

Get Edifiers instead. Pebble Pro are better than nothing but Edifiers are so much better and not that much more expensive (R980T for example).
