So nice of you, but I am just another human that wants to share my knowledge with other machine knitters, and at no charge.

@@RobertaRoseMeads Very generous of you Roberta. I’ve been your fan and humble student for many years, since your other account/Kelly. Thank you so much for freely sharing all your knowledge with the world.

I have always used Ballistol Oil ever since it sucessfully cleaned, lubricated and unstuck buttons on my Brother 260 carriage, when other products failed.

I was told by a service person back when I had my KH260 and the middle buttons were frozen together to spray WD40 between them, so to each their own. Besides, now that I have been using this, I find it works so much better than any oil or lubricant I ever bought before.

I have been meaning to show this for a while, I have used WD40 off and on, but for a dear friend to use only this on her machines for some 30+ years and they all worked good, why go and get something else and to hear those say not to use this, maybe they just do not want us to be able to fix our machines. But I do recall reading that knitting machines are on the list of what to use this on but the best part was it repelled dust.

Ciao Carla, ho provato a mettere didascalie in altre lingue oltre all'inglese, Google ha reso difficile farlo. Ma forse vedranno questi post e potrò riprenderli come ho fatto per qualche tempo fa.

Hello, would you happen to know if the needle plates on the old bond incredible and ultimate knitting machines are compatible? Able to use one w/the other?

I was told they do work in either but one set I had to file the small nub on the top part but when I went to use it on the other one, I had to put a small piece of cardboard to hold it in place. Hope you get to use them in your machine.

Sorry ,two more questions, w/the old bond ultimate knitting machine, how wide is the knitted piece when using all 100 needles and #3 key plate, w/worsted weight yarn? And w/an extension, also using key plate #3, how wide is that piece? Thank you.

No need to be sorry, I am here to help those that cannot get the help anywhere else. Now that I am not sure and of course it all depends on the yarn, the thinner yarns with KP1 will be shorter but the thicker yarns with KP4 will be wider. Then you can add other sections or even put 2 machines together to have as many needles as you want. I recall someone I met along the way that had 3 machines put together so that would have been 300 needles.

Hey what’s the name of this knitting machine model I’d like to purchase one myself?

    • @RobertaRoseMeads

Had to go look, it is the Elna bulky 2300, same as the SK155 in different names but also other models that have different numbers.

    • @RobertaRoseMeads

That is the Elna 2300, same as the singer/studio/silver reed/knitmaster sk155, but Toyota has the same with different number.
