• 60Hz which’s a huge bummer knowing how Apple kept going on 120Hz importance for prod for past 4+ years (and they are right) scrolling and over all smoothness is gone with 60hz
• tiny 27” for 500usd less can get u LG 5k2k 40” ultra wide or go with 1440P 38 for none-retina Apple support scaling display

Just purchased the studio display earlier this week. I ordered the vesa mount also and used an ergotron LX arm , and it’s working perfectly.
No regrets buying the Apple monitor , only wish I had it sooner.
Wish I was rich , as I’d Ike to buy another and have dual display for watching photoshop tutorials etc . Guess I could use a cheaper one on the side , but I’m kinda hooked on the Studio
the peeling off of the protection screen took 90% of the video

I want a studio display so bad but the fact I can’t hookup a ps5 or a windows pc to switch from is why I still use my OLED 42in Sony.
gee it looks so easy,..,..except how do you remove the bracket from the Appl3e Studio Display? From what I have read, it involves quite a bit of work..

Pretty close the arm can go sideways so it’s somewhat versatile

Yes it does! It goes vertical automatically.
for 1600 us I feel like apple could have done better than a standard ips panel. samsung has a 4k miniled panel with double the backlight zones of apples pro display xdr with 240hz for 1500 bucks. I really wish apple would have put in an 1196zone backlight. I feel like it would be worth it even if it brought the price closer to 2k

I’m having some low range bass distortion on my studio display speakers. Out of the box!
Vocals and most audio sounds terrific but when the bass kicks in a few songs, the thump sounds like a torn drum 🥁 even at half volume.
The same songs at same settings are sounding amazing on my 24” M1 iMac.
These displays are not even available on display at the physical stores, where I live, to go and double check if it’s widespread or something that’s normal.

omg it´s so small why?
27inch is not small. 10 years ago 24” was considered a big monitor. 27 inch is just perfect. I had a 40 inch Philips 4k monitor in the past and also a 34inch one and the size was getting annoying and the pixel density was so small (due to large size) that the clarity was lower and not that impressive, I could see each pixel despite the 4k resolution. When I switched back to a 27inch monitor with 4k or 5K like the Apple studio display, omg it felt like my monitor was made of multiple iPhone 13 pro max glued together. So sharp, neat and perfect, no visible pixels anymore. Once you go for that kind of 27” density you’ll never look back at a 34”+ monitor.

How the hell did anybody get these yet? I've hesitated buying from Apple because they keep saying it'll take a few months and B&H and Best Buy keep saying "coming soon". I even bought an XDR display with VESA mount to tide me over until I can properly buy one. Then there are ones are eBay going for $2,500 (not gonna pay that). I even bought a standard model with stand and read Apple and service centers could swap to the VESA mount, though I only looked like a fool every time I asked somebody, so the "upgrade" idea must be a fake rumor.
I felt the same, I bought mine the day they came out, I went to purchase the moment they showed up on the website but hesitated a couple hours and then finally got it after thinking it over. In the time it took for me to contemplate the purchase the delivery date moved an entire month and a half back. so I can only imagine the wait on one if purchased outside the date of release.
