  • Hoping to get this out there to the people who are interested in this kind of thing. I'm completely obsessed with this animation tool. It takes a lot of time though, so it would be a shame if I can't continue programming. Has to be successful! So if you like it, share it. Go buy it. IF it does well, I'm planning on also doing some much needed in depth tutorials to help people master the control rig. Games will be better for it. Thanks for watching. If you could, please consider liking and subscribing! Thanks again!
Will add the download link when approved by EPIC.

This is great. I’m trying to get an animal to climb a tree procedurally and I feel like this would be perfect

Very promising! Is there going to be a way to make the arms look more natural? Its nearly elbow locking the entire time.. which makes them look super non human to me personally. If it was a bit more natural, id buy right this second.

Oh yes it has now been released and looks far and beyond better. The updated demo will be releasing today, with a better explanation of how customizable this is. You can catch a better glimpse of the updated animation in the tutorial video I released, the only other video on my channel currently. Hope this helps.

@@GamingWynn Awesome! Ill check it out. Are we able to set so the hands/feet alternate like real climbers?

This is very good for Zelda style climbing! Do you think it is possible to limit the climbing when there is no geometry to hold on to? I couldn't find a way to do it without repeating the traces both in blueprint and the control rig.

Yes it is very easy. I use some extremes because my goal was to create something that could handle complex geometry. I use the Blueprint to perform the logic of connecting to the surface and rotation amongst other things. However, the control rig acts more like the animation driver only. They work quite nicely together. The control rig state can be deactivated in the Anim Blueprint or in control rig itself. This will allow you to stop the animation when no longer finding geometry with a simple bool value in the Blueprint. I have actually improved the logic greatly since first trying to get it published. Here is hoping. Just resubmitted today. Also, a video of the improved animation is in the video I just posted as a guide for those who purchase my product from Unreal Marketplace.

could this be used with a custom character skeleton that doesn't retarget with the ue5 skele?

It does use the names and ik of the unreal manniquin. But with some work could be adapted.

@@GamingWynn is this system able to climb on a skeletal mesh with Per Poly Collision enabled?

lol this is cool but doesn't look very realistic, dude reaches out with both hands at the same time frequently. 3 points of contact should always be locked at any given time or you fall

Hopefully soon on the Unreal Marketplace under procedural climbing with control rig. I will add a link when available. I am in the process of correcting my maps for final approval. Also, I am about to release an updated demo with even better movement. Thanks for the support!
