Hi Joanne, I don't use other forms of social media to contact you, but wanted to just say that I really appreciate your story. There's a warm honesty in the way you communicate that is both refreshing and inspirational. Peace from NYC.
I’m Korean. Well, Korean adoptee to be exact (hence my YT channel New England Seoul). I hated being Korean most of my life. I feel inspired and proud of Koreans like yourself doing great things. Keep up the good work! Much love from New England ❤
My last straw happened happened in January. My mom had a heart attack and subsequent anoxic brain injury which had me fly back to my home state to be with her in her last moments. The employer was supportive initially, but I recall getting a text from HR asking me when I would be returning. She hadn't even been dead a week, while my sibling and I were handling her affairs. The dissonance in that moment was just unreal. I haven't left yet but I am doing what I can every day to make it a reality.
Thank you for this podcast 🙏 I'm currently at a crossroads between careers and this has helped inspire me to move onto a more fulfilling, balancing career :)
