Honestly, the girls on both teams for this week did well/amazing, it just boils down to Mnet not properly setting them up and giving them two brand new songs instead. @@PatrickMendoza-f5k iunno, the group chemistry you’re talking about I see in Athena’s. Their chemistry just left a bigger impact on me than Pick-Cat’s.
Honestly feels like Athena either lost a challenge or this is a MAJOR set up. Budget and direction is way different. Pick Cat feels like the actual performance and Athena feels like a cover - although I prefer Athena’s musically.
Yeah, I've been reading other comments similar to this. If it were the case of losing a challenge-it's wild to see these performances aired ahead of time in the first place. But this is pretty much Mnet shows. And if it is a major set up even though Mnet can't rig things through public votes they can rig it with certain contestants in the spotlight with editing and production zzzzz
although it’s quite clear that Pick-Cat has a better budget, i feel like Athena’s worked in their favor imo. Athena’s shots and scene composition along with the sets actually complimented the music better than Pick-Cats. Especially for the bridge- the bridge sonically and visually is kinda iconic
@@JoshJazz01 i agree so much. athena's camera work and scenes were a lot more simple but easier to follow. not to mention the distribution of lines was way better in the bridge, giving nearly all of them a spotlight. there were also a few changes in choreo which made them stand out too.
It’s gonna be Kei versus Bora for the main vocal of the group and I think they are gonna force that down our throats. I hope that doesn’t screw them both over in the end.
If Girls Reverse is any indication, then neither will get in. GR had Bora and Monday as the clear main vocal contenders, and sadly neither made it to debut.
@@affey fr, they ended up forcing Eunbi and Heejin to carry the main vocal position, even in GP999 knowing Chaehyun never wanted the main vocal position in any mission, that's just how it is
I can’t wait for the show, I wanted to know how they distributed the singing lines. Because, I like the lines distribution for this group compare to the previous group in Team Battle 1.
Considering the difference between 1st week and this week's videos, it really seems like 1st week's teams won (whatever sort of competition happened) and got the benefit of having their performance released 1 week earlier + extra budget (the fire in Snap and the rain in Charismatic)
Definitely felt like the teams this week were at a disadvantage. Last week felt like the 'definitive' versions of the songs. But that's the challenge in using the same songs; it's hard not to compare them.
Charismatic Drop the beat move like a group because they seem like to move in unison plus the members smiling make the song more attractive unlike the other group with too much movement in their individual parts to stand out from the group . Athena definitely win as a group ,. Yeah their rapper maybe a little weak than the other group, but as a whole their performance made it perfect ,.vocal wise they ate up the song.
I think the budget for Snap week the first week was better and the budget for Charismatic for this week was better. It’s so obvious too lol. MNET never tries to hide it lol😊
yeah i have to say last week's performances were more my style! maybe its bc im used to their versions but yeah i found this weeks just a little disappointing :(( the sets have a lot to do with it too
The performances from last week definitely played a part in setting expectations for this week due to them receiving the same songs. And yeah, the scenes/sets provided to at least "Athena" weren't as impactful. Something to think about is the peak moments of last week with the fireworks, while this week for "DROP The Beat" - they got bubbles. The way I see it is that they should've either given them 4 different songs or at least provide fair scenes/sets that work. Even if it were the case of a team losing a challenge - it doesn't make sense to air it this ahead of time (it leaves us wondering and all teams are not given a fair spotlight to begin with). It's wild to me but at least all the members still popped off in the performances
@@Garrison_ yeah i 100% agree! having the same signal song makes u adapt to whatever version u hear first.. similar to like japanese versions of some kpop songs. I think they shouldve done 4 different songs or at the very least put in the same amount of effort for all the teams. I felt some of the mixing in the audio this week was lower quality than last weeks too. And i dont think its a coincidence most of the people who people are looking forward to seeing went first...
with Snap? I don't really agree, I think Kei seems kinda out of place compared to the rest of the girls, both teams did a great job but I think the first lineup worked better together
@@finnrogue9435 i think i just overall liked that these girls had a lower or sultry voice which suits this concept well while the first lineup had a lot of nasally singers which seems out of place

The vocals of Athena really work together, their vocal chemistry on the bridge and the members set up the octave change perfectly. It was perfect imo
Yup but the other groups chemistry is better. They are balanced.

Chanmi slayed tho she gave her all and i really think she has a mesmerizing stage presence that you cant look away from

they ended up winning so the mv was just poorly made. they win despite it

Bora for the win, you'll see how versatile she is. She can pull off any genre.
Chanmi killed it!! ❤

Same here as well! And good point, I did feel like this week's performances were more well distributed in lines

The views now doesn't even have a large gap esp Athena maybe surpass the other team.
Hwiseo murdered that center
I know righttt

If you completely ignore the video, this teams vocal ability worked way better with this song.

bora vocal still so much more cutesy and doesnt fit the vibe of the song
I feel like I like second group better, but mnet gave the first one more props like a drone and I mean, they gave fire that we cant see in this one.
