NUBIAN CUISINE DAY

On the 14th Ocotber 2023, Old Kibera Primary School became a hub of vibrant cultural celebration as the Deep Democracy Institute , In collaboration with the Sports Club and Sababin, hosted an extraordinary event known as "Nubian Cuisine Day." The primary aim of this event was to honor and celebrate the rich tapestry of Nubian culture and cuisine, offering a captivating experience for visitors from all corners of the globe.
The heart and soul of the event lay in the culinary offerings, with an array of mouthwatering dishes that showcased the essence of Nubian cooking. Traditional favorites Kisira,kofta, Gurusa and more, left visitors delighted and eager for more.
However, Nubian Cuisine Day was not just a feast for the senses; it was a feast for the soul as well. The event featured lively and spirited dance performances that brought the vibrant Nubian culture to life. Doluka echoed through the air, inviting attendees to join in the celebration, and many embraced the opportunity to dance, creating an atmosphere of unity and joy.
In the heart of Kibra, The Nubian Cuisine Day brought together people from diverse backgrounds, fostering a sense of unity, understanding, and cultural appreciation.
