- To celebrate Father's Day this year we wanted to do something a little different. So, when we learned Captain Jack's Airboat Tours was letting dads ride free, my parents and I decided to spend the day in Everglades City. Everglades City is full of mangroves, gators, old Florida architecture and good times. We enjoyed our Airboat Tour, grabbing lunch, seeing the Smallwood Store and the smallest post office along with a short hike. If you are interested in taking a drive down there, I hope you find this video full of information on some things you can do while you are in the area that are outdoorsy, historic and relaxed!
Here is the link I mentioned to Captain Jacks: www.captainjacksairboattours....

That’s awesome- anything you suggest I should do on my next visit?
I lived there in 1975. I recall a Ms Smallwood at the store. My imagination???
