- In a container no bigger then a shoe box Walmart somehow managed to get a Mainstays floor lamp that stands four and half feet tall. Can it be any good or is this the wave of the future? We unbox and build to see if it worth your hard earned money.

Great job and video, I bought one and I was not getting any help from the store so I was very FRUSTRATED. I fixed it and reassembled it and it is holding now thanks so much, the little things that drive us crazy RIGHT :)

Thank you very much! I bought this lamp about a year ago and my son moved it around and I noticed it didn't quite sit the same but couldn't figure out the problem and I'd forgotten how I put it together. I was able to get it working good as new after watching this!

The cord after threading the three bars on mine is way too long to thread on! I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong
Have you tried attaching bulb socket to top pipe first and working your way down? That way all your excess cable will be at the plug end.

As shown in the unboxing a light bulb is not included, would recommend purchasing a soft light LED bulb.

Hi, do you know what size the screw to the lamp is? I need a replacement and I don't know the size
Sorry I don't, but I would check with an Ace, TrueValue or any well equipped hardware store that tend to carry lamp parts.

Sooooo what if i unscrewed the cable top and now it wont screw in smoothly its sort of crooked and the screw in part is stuck in the pole I can see that it is not flush
Sounds like it is cross threaded, easy to do with this product. What I would try is unscrewing it and when you go to reattach instead of going clockwise, try going counter clockwise until you feel it drop onto the thread than try going clockwise. If you catch the correct thread it should smoothly thread on straight. You may have to try this several times if it catches the cross thread. Hope this helps.
@@cfldriven actually my brother came over with a tool and a much gentler hand than mine unscrewed it once slightly and it popped right off then the took the cable with the entire lamp laid it across his lap and carefully tighten the cable portion back into the pole it looks beautiful. I need to purchase one more thank you for responding back. I will be more careful next time
