But if you liked the movie. I suggest reading the book. The book is fantastic
@@jimmylondo4552 Nobody is trying to ban guns altogether, nor is anyone trying to take guns away from responsible people who know how to use them properly, as you imply. All we want are stricter firearms regulations to keep them out of the hands of people who should never be trusted with deadly weapons, like those with criminal records, and/or histories of violence and/or mental illness, because such persons are more likely to use such weapons, not for self defense, but for committing mass murder, like in the shootings at schools, where teachers, staffs, and students alike are killed or wounded. (Columbine, Uvalde, etc.) The killers in those cases were allowed to have guns, even though they were already violent and disturbed individuals. Background checks would have kept all firearms out of their possession and would have prevented them from murdering on such grand scales. Background checks have been used before and they do work. Before you start citing the Second Amendment guarantee of "the right of the people to keep and bear arms," let me remind that this right only applies to the right of each state to maintain "a well regulated Militia" for its own protection. Unfortunately, too many people dwell on the second half of the amendment (the "right of the people to keep and bear arms" clause), and completely ignore the first half (the "well regulated Militia" cause). Amendment 2 was meant to be applied COLLECTIVELY, NOT INDIVIDUALLY. It was never intended to be a license for any lunatic to obtain as many guns as he or she wants, without a proper permit, a reasonable background check, or being carefully trained in the correct use of a firearm. In fact, the biggest supporters of firearms regulations are LEGITIMATE GUN OWNERS, and incidentally so was the NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION (NRA), back in the day.

And half Hillary, half Liberal.
This is what Disney used to put out, history and promoting America. What happened?? This was good stuff.
MrAzrancher What happened was they started having amazing music finally in their movies, thanks to Alan Menken
It is phony CRAP Good luck if you believe this swill.
AM does using derogatory terms to belittle others make you feel better?
we have a so-called president who pledges allegiance to foreign dictators instead of his own country.
@T Wilson
I don’t think so. Are you talking about the US? If so, on what basis do you claim this?
I used to watch this movie over and over again when I was a child. I found out that my uncle was part of the society Sons of Liberty.
I had this song stuck in my head all day and I loved it!!!!😸😸😸
I Watched The Movie On Tuesday And When I Heard This Song For The First Time, I Just Thought “This Is Some EPIC Music.”
My dad took us kids to watch this back in the early 60s. He taught us about patriotism . him and mom. God rest their souls.

I watched this today in history ✌️ I rlly like this song. Why?… have know idea😂🙈👑
Same
+Elena Barker It was songs like this that lead our founding fathers into battle. It's part of us, its part of the American Experience. It brought people with differences together for a common cause - Freedom and liberty. Listen to the lyrics - if more people listened, maybe the country wouldn't be in the state it is today.
+Elena Barker Same.
Omg lol same :)
same i cant get it out of my head🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
I taught the song TheLiberty Tree to my intermediate boys in a program about music about America.

*"history is my favorite class leave me alone"*
same it's my favorite class
The Boston Tea Party happened 247 years ago today.
I miss the old Walt Disney movies. No DEI BS in them.
Watched this just last Tuesday!
Ofc I was the only student in class!
Oop
Our history teacher had us watch this back in 8th grade and a year later I went to Disney World and I heard this song in Liberty Square because it's on the area loop and I sung it and my parents are like "what is this and why do you know what this is" lmaoooo
I was in 5th grade when I heard this song
***** I'm in 5th grade now and we just finished the movie
Me too! And it just kept coming back to me thinking about the time I first saw this movie in 5th grade and I loved it but couldn't remember what movie it was. I'm glad I found it!!
Me too!!!
3rd
Wow I've come a long way going into 9th grade now and I dont ever remember this sheesh im getting old
Song stuck in my head but, I love it!👍
Listen to this song every 4th of July! It's 2016 and I am still listening to it. lol :) Happy 4th!
Who else watched this in grade school back in the 1970’s?? Loved this movie!
SECOND best musical marching moment in Disney! Just edging out Follow Me Boys and right behind Heart of Oak!
Thank you for uploading this!
I miss this Disney
I watched this in social studies in 5th grade so good for 1950s
15 Redcoats disliked the militia
20 now. Salty fuckers.
Democrats
bitchinfussincussin or Republicans. Who knows?
SIXTY NINE REDCOATS
I had to read “Johnny Tremain” in 1967 or ‘68 but I think I watched this a few years earlier. Even at the age of 10 or so, I thought it was a little silly how one or two men just break into song while marching and soon all the marchers and bystanders are belting this out in perfect unison - but regardless, it was still catchy and memorable. That’s why I just searched for it, to hear it again, 60+ years later.
Saw this on our old B&W telly, when it first aired. Great stuff.
So did I.
It's a tall old tree and a strong old tree...
Who else thinks this should be played in history class?
It was when I was a kid! One of my favorites growing up!!
@@JuricksEnterprise was what?
@@showman139
Played in history classes.
@michaelpalmieri7335 That is awesome. Never saw it until I was an adult.
@@showman139
Frankly, I've never seen it at all, not even in school. I've only seen clips of it on the Disney Channel and on UA-cam.
I was 9 years old when I watched the Scarecrow. I was a girl and loved all of those Disney bad boys; Scarecrow, Zorro, Robin Hood, Mike Fink and who was that other guy? Davy something?
For those of you that didn't know, the girl on the right of the screen at 2:21 is Sharon Disney, Walt's adopted daughter.
I miss this movie
I saw this in school long ago, it's a classic and I still enjoy it!
these are the songs that are old, but so...catchy!
NightWolfGamming I would hardly call this an "old song," since it was obviously written directly for the movie, which was made in 1957.
Hey I remember this film, I remember watching this in 5th with many other 5th grade class together, when we’re studying the American Revolution.
Long live the Republic 🇺🇸
I WATCHED THIS IN FIFTH GRADR
July 4,1776 hurrah for the USA
screw france
@@epitaph1739
What do you mean "screw France"? What did France ever do to you, or to this country?
Besides, don't you know France helped us out during the Revolutionary War?
I hate France
...just ordered the two DVD set of Davy Crockett from that' big river in Brazil' - unfortunately no 3rd episode - the Alamo
I saw this movie in 5th grade and I'm still in 5th grade! Love the song but can't find it for download on iTunes. :(
Hearing this song again all these years later is a trip
I've been playing fallout 4 and been playing the minute men route and it reminded me of this song
I remember seeing this in the 3rd grade in 2007. My teacher always put on movies that revolved around the topic we were learning about. When we did the American Revolution, we watched this. It's still great and it brought back so many memories of Mrs. Simmons' third grade.
We're watching this in my AP history class
"As the ship lay in Boston Harbor, a party the colonists dressed as red Indians boarded the vessel, behaved very rudely, and threw all the tea overboard, making the tea unsuitable for drinking. Even for Americans." - George Banks
I sing this through the day and people start to say you're not the Sons of Liberty are the daughters of liberty and I'm like I don't give a f***
Lol same. Oh well. XD
there are still some use sons who stand to defend and protect that tree. free men who still believe in America and wont let it be taken. we stand for rights of all men. not division of man
