Bless you for making this video, I’m a beginner at nails and I’m trying to learn everything from regular nail polish to gels to acrylic. I enrolled into nail school, but as luck would have it I broke my arm a week after enrolling…so I’m trying to learn absolutely everything I can while I’m home, and your channel is an absolute treasure! Thank you for sharing your craft - I hope to be as good as you someday!
Hey girl just wanted to share with you that u can make nail glue last to the end of time if u put it in refrigerator. I do that in my nail glue last like a year or more. I’m serious. I know it sounds crazy, but it does last that long.
*new subscriber here* this is by far the best detailed startup video i've come across! You are very well spoken & I appreciate the detail in each recommendation. I definitely will be sticking around while I grow on my polygel journey, thanks girl💕
I think it's so good that you wear gloves and a mask. That's so professional. I don't, lol, but I'm not I prone to allergic reactions, and I always go outside to file. I love dual forms, especially because they've come a long way with the shapes and lengths. Viva's are the best. I really want a dust collector, but I want a rechargeable one so I can take it outside. What's a good wattage to go with? This is a great video. 💜
I learnt how to do polygel nails back in lockdown.. used the clear markartt polygel up until May 2023 when I started getting an allergic reaction which is a massive shame because like you said it’s the best one I’ve ever used 🖤
Try Modelones clear polygel. I like Makartt’s but I don’t think it’s as clear as Modelones. I know a lot of UA-camrs were using Gershion or Saviland but I can’t find Gershion on Amazon anymore.
I literally watched your videos yesterday for reference when I bought stuff for my nail kit and you posted this video the day after. I got mostly everything I needed. Great video as always 🤍
It’s so funny that every nail channel on here recommends nail primers and dehydrators but I been doing nails for almost 4 yrs and this last past yr or so I have only use alcohol at most and barely even that. I swear prep is everything the other stuff is really just extra stuff that’s really not needed. In my opinion
I’m just curious how thick you make you nails because I try and do mine the same way and a lot of people that see my nails say my nails are really thick and that I need to make them thinner. So I was just curious on how thick I would need to do my nails if they are kind of a short to medium length.
I know the struggle myself 😂 The thickest point of your nail should only be the apex. Imagine your nail as a toothbrush & your squeezing toothpaste down the center. Same with polygel- squeeze it down the center of the nail from cuticle to free edge. pat it around until it covers the nail to smooth it out, use brush motions like your painting your nails. For the sidewalls, I always use the body of my brush to smooth it down & thin it out. By the time you get to the free edge or if your sidewalls are thick, scrape it off & smooth it out again.
I would say if you use alcohol wipes like the ones u get from Walgreens no it wouldn’t work the best because once it starts getting dry while your wiping the sticky layer from your nails it starts getting stuck to it and you will get lil bit of lint from the wipe on your nails. So I would recommend using the lint free wipes and using the rubbing alcohol to remove the sticky layer off of the nails.
Question, I use base coat, cure, Makartt Peel Off Base Coat, cure and then polygel. My nails last a week or more. It takes cuticle oil and warm water to pop them off. Is this the best way to wear them for a short period of time? I wish they would pop off easier. But I do want to wear them for a few days.
how long does the 50ml makartt polygel usually last for you. im wondering because im trying to decide if i should do the 6 color 15ml set or if that would be enough to do a few sets
I got 50 ml of the clear polygel from Makartt & I’ve had it for about a year now. Most of my collection is 15 ml polygel’s & have lasted a year almost. I think if you do your nails a lot, have clients, or like long nails, get the bigger tubes. I only get the bigger tubes if I love the color, consistency, or the clear. The 15 ml are just testers 😂 Just my 2 cents 😬😂
Does anyone know how I can get my nails to stay on? I do the prep for them (buff, dehydrate, prime) I even file the nail tips but the whole nail pops off. I’m not sure how to fix this.
Same! I get mine from the dollar store and at first it always dried at the tip. I started cutting through the bottom to get the last bit. Brush on glues always get stuck too.

❤❤❤ you are so right about the nail glue. Bought a 50 pack 6 months ago thinking I would use them. All dried up now lol. Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
The timing of this video is sooo good bc I have been looking on Amazon for some new products that I need/ want to try. Thank you this!!!!
Hi Vic,Awhile ago you talked about that poly brush, right after that I ordered it, it is fabulous. Love it, thank you vic.
Aw yayy that’s awesome! I’m so glad you like it🥰❤️❤️
Please make a tutorial on How to remove the polygel nails ❤
For putting the gel polish on to mix or for nail art, I just use any old plastic flat surface. No need to buy a special plate for it

Put your nail glue in the fridge!! It’ll preserve it for longer when you buy in bulk !
i have that pink dust collector, id say it does the job pretty well
You can use regular nail glue with top coat for a pop off method you just have to lightly buff the top coat then put nail glue and it holds amazing
Could u make a video on how u plan out your nail sets!! ❤❤
Thanks for the video 💗 hopefully you can do one for nail extensions and do like a pros cons compared to polygel.

so should i just use alcohol instead of primer and dehydrator?
@@greggu00yes! primer and dehydrator aren’t necessary. alcohol gets the job done just as well and is more convenient and cheaper
Thank you for making this video ✨😭 I appreciate youuuu!!!
