- The new Sur Ron Ultra Bee dirt bike is a game changer! I ride this new motocross bike for first time and go full speed, hit jumps, tracks, hill climbs and enduro style lines to test the ultra bee to the limits, what do you think of this?
The newest bike in the Surron line up is here and it built with aggressive riding in mind, with its bigger and better suspension system, perfect sizing and good tyres from the factory along with a whole host of other desirable features. I test ride this new bike in an old quarry that is filled with trails, berms, jumps and hill climbs to really see how well this bike can perform and after just a small ride I'm happy to say that this is a game changer in the electric motocross bike sector! Would you ever switch to electric motorbikes?

I think Sam found his version of the Playground. By the looks of it, quite a few people did. Steep hills, quick downhill tracks and space for electric motobikes. That place looks like, dare I say, the dream.

I have seen a kid blasting sick monos on a light bee out front of my house and it's so quiet, I don't find it annoying at all. He also pulled off an epic stoppie in front of me on it as well. With a light rider on them who has some skills they're a super fun looking machine. Very capable and looked solid too.

I’ve owned an Ultra Bee since February. I’m not even in Sam’s league as a rider but I’ve also found the limit of the climbing ability to be largely related to the rear bike tire. It’s a phenomenal bike but could do with more aggressive knobby tires.
Could you get motorcross tyres for the bike?
@@cailear7512 I think pretty soon there will be more options for tires but most reviewers seem to think a new set of wheels (18/21) are a better option with more tire options. However, that's a lot more expensive proposition and I'm not keen on spending that much.

Cheaper than the Freeride, but with more power, more range, and more setting options albeit more supple suspension. It's the dream!😆

I'm a mountainbiker who's never been on any type of motorbike, but I have never wanted a product as much after watching a video. It just looks like soo much fun
having the rear brake as a pedal is kinda horrible on motorbikes, it makes these sur rons and ideal option

I’ve been using the light bees for since the first Gen. They are great bikes for both a beginner and experienced riders alike with the modes. I’ve racked up thousands of miles mainly off road with minimal damage just the usual dings and dents scratches etc maintenance is easy and minimal lots of the parts are from the MTB world so they are very familiar
Ultra Bee will be even better than how awesome the Light Bee is, thanks to parts that are more like MX parts than MT parts = stronger, more capable.

Did you feel any noticeable traction issues with that thin rear wheel they went with? Wish they put a fat tire on there like a normal dirtbike

That's definitely got some grunt! Being road registered is fantastic. It's going to open a world of throttle twisting awesomeness. Sam's new truck is going to be doing many adventures with that bike I am sure. Should see a drag race with Lewi on the Light Bee and see the difference in performance.
It's a shame in the U.S. and Canada it looks like it'll be sold for off road only.
@@OneWheelMan I'm building a sort of poor man's suron/motoped using a mongoose cx24v450. I upgraded the power train to 72v 10kw running a 10t motor sprocket to a 44T wheel sprocket on Gemini hubs laced to 18in moped rims, haven't had a chance to ride it cause I'm still tuning but it should absolutely rip

I had a Sur Ron Light Bee and it began to struggle on super steep climbs. The ultra bee looks solid.

Thanks for the very diverse video Sam, what do you think of the handling ? Are the shocks a big step up from the stock lite bee shocks ? How much battery life did you get out of the bike? I am getting one should be here in middle of the month I cant wait, you gt me Psyched bro!! Thanks!!!
Handling is great as you'll find out soon! The shocks are the best bit though, I didnt adjust them at all and they felt perfect. Battery life was good, but I wasted loads of power in the deep sand and hill climbs, I obviously rode more than the video shows so It last a fair while!
The Lite Bee is a hybrid of a dirtbike and a mountain bike, while this is a true dirtbike with real dirtbike suspension

Hello Sam, I have a question for you when you wrote the ultra bee which I sent you a message that I’ll be getting a couple of weeks should be in. You answered my question on this video and told me for the most part you really like the bike and everything some people in the reviews have mentioned that the bike washes out a bit and would be perfect for the 18 inch on the back and a 21 on the front. What do you think of that? If you think it’s that serious it would make that much of a difference. What do you feel? It did hit and that pretty well considering the tires they come with I’ll probably not the best also I saw your review on the storm bay. Is there any kind of comparison? Does the storm be handled that much better out of the box or You or do you feel they both were real nice I nope they both have great suspension etc.. I would appreciate your thoughts peace bro.

This is about the size of an 85 big wheel. Suspension is definitely soft also. Im still waiting for surron to make a traditional full size alta competitor.
