That "let me do it for you" caught me off guard. I choked to what I'm eating 🤣
You get a like. Laughed so hard at the "let me do it for you" reference. Absolutely nailed it.
was so funny
Absolutely snailed it*
Never would have expected that
Same! Lmao
I can't believe how clean all of the shops and the kitchens were! My local fish and chip shop has oil build up that you can count like tree rings for years of service! I will be visiting Vietnam, it's on my bucket list due to your series.
I found Vietnam generally pretty clean, much cleaner than bali or Thailand.
As a Vietnamese who hasn't been to Vung Tau for 8 years, I'm so surprised the place has changed a lot and it's so clean - both the outside, kitchen and dining area!
That's the first time that I have seen Sonny actually get past $100 in an Asian market.
Because its sea food KEKL
Nice to hear your wife is a fellow member of the "leave the public aquarium hungry for seafood" club. 😆
Gets hired for pr ... 😂
Vietnamese Wife
@@aquaviii how do you know?
@@FSVR54 he said it himself
@jokowi the great president so, apparently mal****** is an ethnic/racial slur -- will someone ban this loser?
$100 dollars here in the US wont get you far if you want fresh restaurant seafood(especially with shrimps that big).
Love this show! Their cinematography is great and I love how his wife is always with him it's so cute!
Wow, seeing my father's hometown brings back memories. Thank you for this episode. Greetings from a Vietnamese, living in the Netherlands.
Hey mede Nederlander!

"If you really enjoyed eating fingernail as a kid, this is next level"😂
Tiger prawn looks sooooo good! 🤤🤤
Right on tim e for my Vietnam trip. Flying there next week.
I've been to Hanoi. Viet Nam is one of the top 3 places I'd love to live in someday. I love your shows and follow because of your Viet Nam base.
Why I laughed so much when Sony joking about the coconut milk "fresh from the can" 🤣. When I was 5 years old my mom always making fresh coconut milk....from the coconut. It's a bit long process with a lot of patience. Nowadays my mom not even bother making that anymore, we part of the "fresh from the can" club 😋
These are my favourite videos, the $100 series is amazing
This is not just a Food&Travel channel ....This is a cultural documentary that makes me appreciate our planet and I will support this channel till I'm an old woman. 👍🥰🥰
That's for sure.
Hahaha.
True.
Welcome to Vung Tau. I'm living here for about 3 years and I absolutely love this city! oh and beside the seafood market, there's some of other unique foods in Vung Tau like Banh Khot, etc.. You should try it!
Neat, how do you avoid food poisoning from the market?
@@bonefetcherbrimley7740 you don't have to worries about food poisoning cuz they're selling the fresh food here. things still alive when you buy it if it's a fish or crab etc...
Man I need to visit. Everything looked amazing and the people seemed very friendly ❤
Wow this is amazing. I'm not a fan of seafood, but each of the culinary recipes definitely looks interesting.

Sonny makes video which when even I watch it again it again,Its always bombastic.
Honest people like Sonny are rare.
Internet protect him.
I think uve said this before Sunny but what happens when no one wants to take the extras you don't finish? I noticed you guys typically buy quite a bit, do the locals usually have no problem taking the rest or is it boxed up for staff?
That big squid is amazing, I’ve never seen anything like it😮
Google Humbolt Squid and Giant squid ... Both are real and kill humans =P
good
@@iRiShNFT i dont think a squid ever killed anyone..
@@paveantelic7876 I don't think there has ever been a recorded case of a squid killing a human, but giant, Humboldt and colossal squid are more than capable of killing someone.
F around and end up on my plate
welcome you sonny to my hometown!!! vungtau city always provive the best quality of seafoods and dont forget to take a ride around the beach after you eat. enjoy it and thank you so much. you make me miss my hometown so muchhhh.
Yo this was so funny man I had to sub 😂
Highly recommend you to try "Oc Ken" nuong sot tieu xanh. I had it in Vung Tau and it was super delicious. I'm not into eating snails but I love love it soo much!!! 😋 😊

I LOVE WHEN YOU MAKE SEAFOOD VIDEOS😭
Everything looking amazing people seemed friendly
just finished my dinner but this makes me feel hungry again
Sonny is the type of guy to go to an aquarium, leave early and eat a seafood dinner.
what?
Or his wife is
Thats niceee❤❤
😯 seafood looks delicious
a face only a mother could love, so sweet yet it hurts
Saying hello to everyone, all the love from Trinidad❤❤!!
I always loved seafood markets when I was young! The smells and the lively atmosphere and seafood was always exciting!
My dad is the same. He is really fast at moving forward when we are at the veggy section, but he suddenly becomes really energetic and check every stand when we get to the seafood part of the market 😂😂
Wow this is amazing
Amazing 😍 work 👏
Do you actually eat all of the food you get? Do you save it for leftovers or do you share it with your staff? Just curious
The fact that we get free food & travel videos on UA-cam by Sonny is truly a gift. 👏👏👏
I quite agree.
Yeah!
Great traveler.
A beautiful vedio I always support you sometimes😂
It's amazing to see how different cultures around the surprise you
Do youse eat all the food off camera? Always been curious. Great episode :)
That is what I'm thinking, he even says at the end that the portion sizes are for 2 people (I think more honestly) I'm sure he shares it with the camera crew to help finish it, no way could he eat all those meals on his own
You can get squid larger than that off the coast of California when they migrate. In fact, when it happens you can't really fish for anything else because the squid will steal anything you try to reel in. Boating companies have great rates during these times because the more we catch the better. You use this gnarly looking lure with tons of hooks on it. Drop it in the water and BAM, you're reeling one in. Catch after catch. I had 23 squid by the time I was done and OMG I was sore the next day! They are very hard to reel in. But you can't keep them whole. You are not allowed to bring back any whole squid because the ink gets everywhere. They dispatch and cut up all the squid into steaks before you leave the boat. All the extra goes back in the water as food. You can't even keep the tentacles which I thought was weird. Just steaks from the main body.
Sitting eating those Scallops and drinking Saigon Greens on Vinh Khanh with friends... beautiful
LET ME DO IT FOR YOU haha im dying thank you editor
I honestly don't mind if they use canned stuff. If it cuts down the prep time and cost I am all for it. It really isn't that big of a deal that they are using canned coconut milk (as long as it isn't expired). "Homemade" doesn't mean all ingredients from scratch so I would consider this homemade.
When you come to Canada, please allow me to show you the best restaurants in Canada
I'm listed as Canada's 3rd highest restaurants reviewer on Google.
I don't think people want to watch him eat at a Tim Hortons
Wow i didn't knew seafood would be this crazy 😮❤
Man I need to visit. Everything looked amazing and the people seemed very friendly
Love seafood!
the fact that frogfish was still moving its mouth when it was cut in half is crazy
Best food Channel! ❤
so sad that we dont have these markets or variety of foods in my country .-(
I've been to a market similar to this in Manila. It was absolutely insane. Best meal I have ever had.
The snails sunny sucked on is a delicacy here in Nigeria. Wow nice to see it eaten somewhere else as well
Periwinkle for soups, you can all remove from shells
@@rosemondodor8199 yes. Here we deshell and cook or just chop off the bottom
Incredible delicious seafood 😋
Thanks Sonny now I can't get the thought of a seafood enema out of my mind 😭
I love seeing you actually hit the target. I know most people in a day wouldn't spend 100 bucks for food. . . but when it comes to a trip I am for sure willing to spend at least that in a day for food. you and top gear have some of the best jobs on the planet as far as I understand.
I think you would struggle to eat all this in one day
It looks fun in Vietnam
Amazing vlog
Saigon(ho chi Minh city) has cheaper seafood believe it or not, it’s the center of importing large amount of fresh seafood from local provinces. If you go to Vung Tau where the tourists are, it’s still gonna be expensive. Gotta find the local ones everywhere you go
He is a local already Lmao =))) Sonny even made a tour around center of Vietnam. I think that he just wants to diverse his videos by going to Vung Tau
@@deafea4867 yea Ik that. I’m saying local means where the local ppl are eating, not where tourists are. It will be even much cheaper. The cuddle fish he got in the video was very expensive. That’s a tourist price
@@moonlightmlbb4753 yeh, VT is just too packed with tourists and prices are just way too high. I think he just want to spend his hundred dollar in some place that near Saigon with variety of seafoods XD
Damn food so fresh it still moves in the bowl.. 11:40 :D
editing is just top tier🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Looks very delicious, wanna try...
As soon as i saw that snail i knew you were going to do the "lemme do it forr you!" -.- 🤣
I believe you were right the first time calling the large white cephalopod a squid, before you were told it was a cuttlefish. Squid and cuttlefish are very similar, but squid have a clear cellophane-like bone, as opposed to a cuttlefish which have a large solid elongated soap-stone like minerally bone called a cuttlebone. If you ever owned a pet parakeet or cockatiel you would remember putting a white cuttlebone in the cage for them to chew on to satisfy their mineral needs.
Yes! That's what I said. It's literally a bone from a cuttle fish
Wow everything amazing
The fact that we get free food & travel videos on UA-cam by Sonny is truly 😎😎😎😎😎
Let me do it for you 🥺 😂 top tier reference
I was looking for this comment 😂
Was about to write the same, got me good. 😂
Same! Loved it lmao
Delicious 🇻🇳 Vietnam 😋
I love fish thank bro for creating this types off video
Great work
That toadfish is actually quite poisonous! It is not recommended to eat at all but love the video! Thanks for showing us more of what Vietnam has to offer.
there are multiple types of toadfish, this one is not dangerous
Sonny seems to be the type of guy who would go to a aquarium to pick out which seafood to eat next. 😂
Not gunna lie I went to my local aquarium and I felt bad for thinking about cooking up the octopus I saw there lol
Informative videos
Mouth watering!!
