It's a 3kw motor on a 2kw(40ah) battery. Driving at 23 mph would draw 750w per hour for 3 hours(2kw usage) equals 70 miles range. It's easy to figure out range of electric vehicles by speed. 750w per hour gets you 23mph.... 1500 watts per hour gets you 32 mph..... 3000w per hour gets you 45 mph etc as long as vehicle weighs between 100-200lbs. every 2x of power draw gets you 35 percent faster speed. Anyone interested in a cheap and capable electric bike should wait for next year's Metacycle for 5k. it can get 80 miles range at 45mph with a top speed of 70-75mph. If you got money to burn you can achieve same basic specs as Metacycle 4kw(200 lbs) with Zero FXS 7.2kw(300lbs) for 12k. Except Zero can hit between 85-100 mph top speed with custom settings.
I am in the UK & I have owned a City coco M8 Electric bike (similar to this one) for 2 years now and still loving it. I bought it specially to carry it with me on the back of my Motorhome (RV). I usually get out of bed around 6:30am each morning and like to go exploring the area on my bike. With it being electric, it does not disturb other campers. We have to register these bikes in the UK and have a driving licence & insurance just like a proper motorbike. I agree that around 30 miles is the range, but that's ok for what I use it for. I have been stopped a couple of times by the cops but only because they have never seen one of these before and were interested what it was. One of these cops has since bought one like mine and has told me he loves it too.
Still seems like a nice commuter for around town in nice weather, but it's expensive. Replaceable battery packs are a big plus too. If you keep it might be fun to see if you can upgrade the pack for more range and speed like you do. 30 miles pushing it hard isn't that bad and it's fast enough to keep up with city traffic easily. If the price drops with time I bet they'll sell a bunch of them.
I have an electric scooter for about a year now. On the way home, the train became stuck. I had my scooter but it only made it about 5 or 6 miles before it melted to one bar of battery and reduced me to 6mph and eventually died. Making me think twice about electric. 25 mile range means I can only really go 10 or 12 miles so I have enough juice to get back home.
@@evshrug I had the hurdle motorgear scooter 🛴 350 watts. It was an “ok” scooter. Since then, I upgraded to the evercross scooter. Much better. If I had the evercross on the day the train crapped out, I probably would’ve made it all the way home.
Good video, but please show another range test using the same bike and same rider, driving with less aggressive acceleration at 15 mph max and see how much further you go. You might be surprised.
I never purchase anything over $50 bucks without watching as many reviews that I have time to watch. Why not? Your reviews on Nireeka helped me pull the trigger. Thank you for your video. I had the money stacked up and ready to call them Monday 3 days from now. But if it only gets 30 miles that would leave me at the grocery store with no way to get home. Just isn't going to work for me I'll need to wait for the technology to get a little better. Thank you again.
I totally started watching 3 ebike youtubers last summer, and your telling it how it arrives in the box was very informative. So when I was ready to strart making ebikes. I made sure I had tools available when opening the box. And just a few things were off. Thanks for showing it how it is.👍
Wow it’s so funny how some guys don’t know which end of a hammer to hold, air valve specialist? If something is leaking try tightening it up with anything I use a pair of tweezers when I can’t find my air valve specialty tool, well he gave me a good laugh which makes it all good
You must get them Titled and Registered. I'm dealing with mine as we speak. The first step is to get what's called an Enhanced inspection. Pre-Titled inspection, reason. "(Road worthiness)". If passed. The vehicle can then be Titled. Further, the certificate these vehicles come with can be lacking important data. I had to email Eahora and have them update the certificate to display Make, Model, Hp, Color, Style, date of manufacturer. All that data should be added to the certificate that has the Vin number on it. Technically, in most states a MCO is required, or Manufacturer Certificate of Origin.... This is why these vehicles are so hard to title. Cheers, hope this helps.
I always liked that kind of e-scooters that are like a cruiser and I'm really digging that design. Ever since I saw these scooters in my vacation in Vietnam 5 years ago I kinda wanted one. If it was 3k it would be a more appealing offer.
Having owned 2 ebikes, I've learned that mfr claims about max range are based on people who would be thin for China, traveling on perfectly smooth roads with no wind and no stop lights/signs (anorexic teen on a treadmill). Claimed 70 miles on a charge? Take your 30 miles real world and shaddap. It is what it is. Thanks for your always unbiased reviews.
I'm looking at importing some from China to Australia and the rated range is 70km per battery but when I visited the factory they looked at me (6" 90kg) and were like yeah 40km tops haha
I love the design but the battery life concerns me. I have an NIU UQI GT Pro. Got it a year ago. It's an electric moped, Chinese brand. I have to say I love mines. It is the equivalent of a 50cc moped so only does a max 30 mph, and 40 miles on 1 charge. It gets me to work and back and is true to it's claims. Also my EV was around the same price but here in the UK I got a massive discount by the government for going green. So in the end I paid just over 2k.
30 real world miles kinda equates to 70 tester miles. I mean if you consider it's likely meant to be driven at 20 or 30 in residential neighborhoods with the ability to jump it up to 45 in an emergency it's possible in the right conditions. As long as you make the destinction that you're hammering it the entire time I think it's a fair review. As for the legality I'm guessing it really depends on the state. Some places are a bit more lenient than others so it pays to check local laws one power ratings and speeds for unlicensed vehicles, as well as Electric ones for that matter. Does it have a VIN?
I think it looks really cool and could always upgrade it to get 50+mph. It's a lot better looking than some of the E-Mopeds currently on sale here in the UK
Currently costs £2,211.27 GBP for the UK, but it is not been defined what it is as what it is legally, whether it is classified as an Ebike or moped will make a hell of a difference in its up take.
‘I am not a valve guy, i am not a valve specialist, I don’t fix valves full time.’ Did he say all of that? Goodness me! I don’t know with how much cringe people heard those lines.
Street legality is an issue commonly ignored by people reviewing these evehicles. The majority of theses things (over 15mph) require full insurance, licence, lights, etc.
I think you did a great review on the Gator. And it had to be a pain in the butt dealing with the rear tire stem. I originally wanted the Harley Version of the scooter but got talked into Gator. I ordered it to use in campgrounds back in June but did not receive it until October. (Stuck on a ship in the Harbor). They want me to do a review but all the campgrounds are closed for the winter. I was able to register it as a moped because the Vin number is compliant with DOT. My total range has been around 50 miles and my top speed has averaged around 46 MPH. I like the Gator but I'm not a fan of the over weight steering and turning can be a little tricky. It also weights alot so transporting has to be done much like a motorcycle and not a EBike. I will try and do a review as soon as the campgrounds reopen but for now it's in storage until our temps in PA comes out of the 30's. Thanks for sharing. I would like to see a follow up and how it's holding up and maybe by then Koppla will change their minds about Green only as I have seen other colors.
@@evshrug Hello, Yes, I like the scooter and I have had people stop me to talk about it.. So far, so good.. I have taken it to a few parks and it preformed well. A lot of valve stems caps actually have a core tool built into the back side of them. I'm surprised this doesnt. My CSC Monterey (~$2100 or so when I bought it) has one on each valve. Though those are tubes. Also I'm surprised it's not capable of being registered -- the CSC Monterey is though in my state it's considered a full electric motorcycle and not a motor-driven cycle... LOL I guess it doesn't have a VIN?
I bought TWO fat-tyred Chinese 'scooters' with a similar build and components, plus spare wheels, controller, and motor DIRECT from China for *2,400 USD TOTAL.* They have the same range, etc.
If you notice that "tool" is also a valve stem cap, and usually has a rubber cap over the tip, so you always have one or two with you srewed onto your valve stems.
A nice looking mobility scooter..has appeal & seams the quality build is based on a motorcycle..simple & efficient without all the b.s..removable battery is cool..thanks for the review
I was REALLY thinking about getting one of these and I'm glad I didn't... It's just too big for what I had planned but now I have a Razor Mx650 and I'm planning on doing the electro-brap 6000w kit, getting a full lights/turn signals and alarm to get it street legal as a moped/small displacement engine bike. Edit: I'm not a professional tire valve repair man but I have 3 of them for my BMX and anything w/ tubes... They're only a few bucks and are very helpful to have in your toolbox.
In California bikes need to be 50cc or more to be classified as a vehicle that will require Registration and plates with a tag, does not matter what sort of power generation is used.so if your going 43 mph you are under the radar.😉
Hmmm, just had a customer buy a 5kw E-Enduro with upgrades and tax is less than $3800. And that will get you, 50+mph top speed with a 72v pack. Range at top speed will be about 30-40miles, with reasonable riding getting you over 60miles range. I test the setups IRL, not just the math on the page. Got two Kollters in my garage and about to do an endurance test on the Street model.
setting the gas handle stand down a little bit, more like hayley motor, feel more better when u drive. right? it look too high when your hand on it. just my feeling on it, make it more fun to drive.
they have a valve-core removal tool, available from any a/c supply company, that allows you to replace the valve-core, without having to deflate the whole tire.
0:46 Just respond to them in the manner China responded to people who questioned them about putting lead paint into children's toys. Their response was, "You want a safe product, pay a higher price." You can say, "You don't want a bad review, then build a better product."
It looks to be a pretty solidly built moped and I like the beefiness of it. I think I'd get one, even though stylistically it's kinda' not really cool looking. But I think with some modding it could resemble Shotaro Kaneda's bike from Akira. I really love your videos, I appreciate all the hard work that goes into them. You are a good egg, I think you are the only REAL AND HONEST ebike reviewer around. I hope you have a very happy, safe, and blessed Thanksgiving!
I found this video because I was searching for an Eahora Etwister M2 scooter… I’ve gotta say, looks extremely similar (tho I think the battery comes out the side, not under the seat). And if Eahora has a “low rider chopper” style scooter (they do), then Koppa probably does too (or, if not, and you want that style, you could always look at Eahora). Personally, I prefer this style. Feels like it’s not pretending to be something it’s not. Plus the step-through design is easier to sit on (especially if you strap luggage onto the back, otherwise you would have to swing your leg up and over groceries) and it just seems practical. With that said, Kaneda’s bike is iconic and totally awesome, and it would be sweet to see an eBike/moped that looks like that! If you put a lightweight shroud like that over the more low-rider style moped, you might even reduce drag! GL HF
He was told to go to the bike lane cuz his bike thing was under the 750 watt limit anything above 750 needs plates in his state the law depends per state.
Nice looking scooter except that seat, I’m sure they probably have different color options. I’m always curious about how these electric bikes do on long hill inclines. Anyways, that was a fair review. Happy thanksgiving 🍽
Pennsylvania -illegal over 742w - needs pedals as well to be considered and electrically assisted bicycle .. I hate my state but I found the loop hole 8years ago
You were probably having such a good ride that you forgot how machines work. You don't get the same miles per gallon of gas on the drag track as on the highway. Your phone battery won't hold a charge for the same time off in your pocket as while in constant use. there's more than one way to use a watt. looks like a ginning’ ear to ear fun time! I‘d ride one.
I mention that in my videos all the time. But when will I be cruising at 15mph in the city on this thing? It tops out at normal city speeds and you have to use it to keep up.
As with any battery type, you will get voltage lag as you are driver alone. But at stops the voltage will return to what is in the battery. Also when companies do a rang est. they are only going 20mph and as long as they can. So 70 miles at 20mph with no hills maybe. I have a 72v 30Ahr bike that can do 55mph. And at 35mph it only goes about 35 miles. hope this helps
going max speed on any electric vehicle drains the battery super fast, just like my E-Bike if I got max speed it only gets maybe 7 miles but if I do like pedaling most of the way I can get like 50 miles or more
Liked the video, Keep up the good work. BTW you turn the valve core tool right to tighten, left to loosen and remove /replace the core. I thought you were a biker!

Just a quick pause: I don't fix valves as a full time job neither but damn, man... I ride a bike - I better be able to, at least, screw a valve in...
That price is def too high, even for a year ago. I was about to buy one for $2k locally in socal around the same time. I ended up with the older model for $1,400 (looks like a mini chopper). The biggest difference is the battery size.
Yeah, it's like $5 for the valve core tool but I still managed to mess up my repair lol. But even being such a small problem, it's a small problem that should not have been there... Tires are arguably the most important safety aspect of a vehicle and this is such a basic issue that I can't believe they missed this through basic quality control.
They didn't miss anything in quality control, valve stems can just come loose from the temperature changes. It's a pretty common occurrence in places that have winters. Temperatures fluctuate like crazy on cargo ships.
🤣🤣🤣 I rewinded it 8x to see you beat the challenger off the line, lolol I must be missing it! Nice review, loving the tan and green. I wonder how fast it'll go when it's speed is unlocked. M1p videos so far I've seen were at 48mph when unlocked and their top speeds when locked are about 37-39mph. But I wonder if that unlocking trick is only for that particular brand? I have my eye on the M8, saw it in person a few weeks ago I'm in love, lol been doing research everyday since and boy this rabbit hole is deep! lol I don't even know how I got here to an M2 video, glad I did 🤣🤣🤣🔥
Cool video Dude love the Scoot. What app were you using for the GPS speed check please? all the app's that i have tried are the pit's. Thanks in advance.
When it comes to the range they are probably doing the same crap most ebike company's do, and that is advertise it as a max 40mph but they do the max range at like 15mph or some crap close. A respectable company will rate the max range at the max speed they are selling the bike at, that way the buyer knows that if they run it at the max speed sold as they will get X range but if they run slower then they will get more. They need to take a page from Zero as in the say my zero S can goo 100miles per charge but the clearly specify that that is at 30 to 40 mph and not the 90 mph max the bike can do
Hey I just saw a scooter called the extreme bull 5k to be so small it this thing is supposed to do 50 mph and has a 100 mile distance. I like the way you try things out because you tend to tell the truth about the item you test.
2 years ago there were throngs of these in Malaysia on a Webb app similar to Amazon called Lazada. Yeah they sold for 3,800.... RINGGITS! - 4 ringgits to the dollar! So yeah... you go ahead and pay $3,800 for that. The price of tea in China.
Let me get this straight. You paid $3800 for that made in China thing, that topped out at 45 mph, and only has a range of 33 miles. That's crazy. I recently bought a new 2021 Genuine Buddy 125 for $3200, which was NOT made in China (it was made in Taiwan by PGO, and is easily comparable to any Japanese brand as far as quality goes) and tops out at 55+ mph and get 80+ mpg. Obviously since it is powered by an internal combustion engine, it has unlimited range. It also has a 2 year unlimited mileage on both parts and labor, and comes with a 1 year roadside assistance plan. Why anyone would choose a $3800 Chinese battery powered scooter with a 45 mph top speed and a 33 mile range over a $3200 Taiwan made high quality scooter that tops out at 55+ mph, gets 80+ mpg, has unlimited range, and has a 2 year parts and labor warranty blows my mind. Oh, and the Buddy has a large underseat storage compartment, and you can get a matching rear mounted color matched top box as an accessory.
my Taiwan days, I learned to ride on a Sanyang 125, classic style wire spoke motorcycle (international transmission) great to just leave it in gear for the mountain descents),,, only words on surviving Taiwan driving culture "follow old riders not young ones", great days 1990-1993. Great Quality in Taiwan, I had a China 150cc scooter 2008-2010 put 4000 miles on it, certainly some build quality issues, but drivetrain was ok. I think it was made around Shanghai.
Hey how does it handle now after 7 months? Already bought one and waiting on delivery, but now thinking how realistic it is this thing will last years down the line which I would like it to.

What do you think about the Eahora M1ps
30miles range sounds about right considering always going full-throttle,
will likely do 30-40miles if used in slower speed zones/city areas.
ua-cam.com/video/beLqFC-pKgY/v-deo.html we did a real world range test it did very well in my opinion

If the price drops with time I bet they'll sell a bunch of them.
yeah at 3k this one would be a nice offer.
@@NineDiamontA year later and I've found it for 2,999$. Am buying but not until summer 2024. Perhaps even a few more 100$ less by then
I have an electric scooter for about a year now.
Yea, that's basic math my son is in grade school and his test questions look just like that
@@16driver16 boy, what a tough school

@@evshrug I had the hurdle motorgear scooter 🛴 350 watts. It was an “ok” scooter. Since then, I upgraded to the evercross scooter. Much better. If I had the evercross on the day the train crapped out, I probably would’ve made it all the way home.
Good video, but please show another range test using the same bike and same rider, driving with less aggressive acceleration at 15 mph max and see how much further you go. You might be surprised.
Yea he could but no one’s gonna be going 15 mph for the whole 70 miles u may aswel get the bus
ua-cam.com/video/beLqFC-pKgY/v-deo.html thats how we did our range test
Who the hell wants to go 15 miles an hour I can run that fast
@@fraomedinaii2095 no you can’t
At 15 mph, you just need a bike then, not an electric one ! 😲
I never purchase anything over $50 bucks without watching as many reviews that I have time to watch. Why not? Your reviews on Nireeka helped me pull the trigger. It's almost pointless to advertise on cable anymore. It's awsome watching this market open up to ppl doing this kinda stuff. Whether it stays UA-cam or not this is the future of marketing. I'm dying to figure out my niche or partner with someone else for sure
Keep up the good work man been watching your channel for a long time now!
Glad to have you!
Thanks for showing it how it is.👍
Thanks for video on electric bikes! I am always researching on differant motorbikes!!
Wow it’s so funny how some guys don’t know which end of a hammer to hold, air valve specialist? If something is leaking try tightening it up with anything I use a pair of tweezers when I can’t find my air valve specialty tool, well he gave me a good laugh which makes it all good
That's good
You must get them Titled and Registered.
I like the design of this scooter. Thank you for sharing.
I always liked that kind of e-scooters that are like a cruiser and I'm really digging that design.
Ever since I saw these scooters in my vacation in Vietnam 5 years ago I kinda wanted one.
If it was 3k it would be a more appealing offer.
They're on sale for $2700 sometimes
Having owned 2 ebikes, I've learned that mfr claims about max range are based on people who would be thin for China, traveling on perfectly smooth roads with no wind and no stop lights/signs (anorexic teen on a treadmill). Claimed 70 miles on a charge? Take your 30 miles real world and shaddap. It is what it is. Thanks for your always unbiased reviews.
much appreciated!
I'm looking at importing some from China to Australia and the rated range is 70km per battery but when I visited the factory they looked at me (6" 90kg) and were like yeah 40km tops haha

There are actually something called "hills" where a lot of people live. That would be a very important part of the over-all test.
Love your honest reviews bro ❤ 👌

@@TheInja review the Soversky M8 Chopper Electric Scooter
Wow that is one cool looking machine ! ❤
Happy Thanksgiving Inja...🦃🦃
Currently costs £2,211.27 GBP for the UK, but it is not been defined what it is as what it is legally, whether it is classified as an Ebike or moped will make a hell of a difference in its up take.
‘I am not a valve guy, i am not a valve specialist, I don’t fix valves full time.’ Did he say all of that? Goodness me! I don’t know with how much cringe people heard those lines.
Street legality is an issue commonly ignored by people reviewing these evehicles. The majority of theses things (over 15mph) require full insurance, licence, lights, etc.
even if I like real MCs a bit more I must say I found this one super cool like a mini-cruiser with a bobber touch :) just awesome
Hey, I’m in PA too! Is the scooter treating you well?
@@evshrug Hello, Yes, I like the scooter and I have had people stop me to talk about it.. So far, so good.. I have taken it to a few parks and it preformed well. Good Luck it you are getting one, They are nice to ride but has one down fall.. You have no place to put item that you may pick up from the store.. It needs some sort of storage..
LOL
I guess it doesn't have a VIN?
All greenslime also comes with a plastic one.
Check the valve core for leaking with a gob of spit. If it leaks the spit bill bubble.
A nice looking mobility scooter..has appeal & seams the quality build is based on a motorcycle..simple & efficient without all the b.s..removable battery is cool..thanks for the review
Need to double everything before I buy one! 30 mile range, 45 mph!
Cannot believe anyone from a "Sports Bikes" background could not figure out the valve stem was loose or leaking.
$3800 for that?? You could get a good used Kawasaki Meanstreak for that. Insane. 🤪🤣
0:46 Just respond to them in the manner China responded to people who questioned them about putting lead paint into children's toys. Their response was, "You want a safe product, pay a higher price." You can say, "You don't want a bad review, then build a better product."

It grew on me big time. Pretty nice looking Machine. I'd get one. Thank you
Should call your mechanic cousin if you need help with stuff like that cuz!
that Citycoco scooter usually comes 2 battery pack. one from under the seat and the other is under ur footrest.
That really is good, still would consider a Sur Ron, but that’s just me, I love the freedom
Future reference, bottles of smaller tire fix a flat has that tool in the cap.
Well hell, if the cops dont give you no shit im buying one for drunk beer runs!
Try to put a alternator on the battery should prevent it from going dead when you're too far from home to charge it.
Nice looking scooter except that seat, I’m sure they probably have different color options. I’m always curious about how these electric bikes do on long hill inclines. Anyways, that was a fair review. Happy thanksgiving 🍽
Loved this scooter. Do you have the Super Soco range of bikes over there?
Pennsylvania -illegal over 742w - needs pedals as well to be considered and electrically assisted bicycle .. I hate my state but I found the loop hole 8years ago
Your the only one who'd pay $4000 for that thing.
35 miles at 35mph is pretty shit mileage for that size battery pack. Sounds like you got a trash bike.
Spray soapy water on it too see if it still does or doesn't work lol
going max speed on any electric vehicle drains the battery super fast, just like my E-Bike if I got max speed it only gets maybe 7 miles but if I do like pedaling most of the way I can get like 50 miles or more
Liked the video, Keep up the good work. BTW you turn the valve core tool right to tighten, left to loosen and remove /replace the core. I thought you were a biker!
Just a quick pause: I don't fix valves as a full time job neither but damn, man... I ride a bike - I better be able to, at least, screw a valve in...
If you didn't get my point that's fine.
I saw this video on their website and they edited out the beginning bit with the negative part
That price is def too high, even for a year ago. I was about to buy one for $2k locally in socal around the same time. I ended up with the older model for $1,400 (looks like a mini chopper). The biggest difference is the battery size.
You check out the m1ps?
seems about right for full throttle riding. half the specified range. 70km in lowest setting is how its usually rated.
You go friend
I have my eye on the M8, saw it in person a few weeks ago I'm in love, lol been doing research everyday since and boy this rabbit hole is deep! lol I don't even know how I got here to an M2 video, glad I did 🤣🤣🤣🔥
Love the videos! Review the Honda Navi please
Maybe their 70 miles of range is actually 70 kilometers we all know what the Chinese are like.
I agree with the previous post, driving it flat out using maximum acceleration cannot be conducive to good battery range.
Yep, but that's the only way to keep up with traffic, so that's how it's going to have to be.
hi good video enjoyed it! i will order one, do u think this scooter is capable of motor upgrade like a qs motor ? cheers
Mopeds have pedals like a bike. Motor/ Pedals.

The green, black and brown seat is a good color combination
When it comes to the range they are probably doing the same crap most ebike company's do, and that is advertise it as a max 40mph but they do the max range at like 15mph or some crap close. A respectable company will rate the max range at the max speed they are selling the bike at, that way the buyer knows that if they run it at the max speed sold as they will get X range but if they run slower then they will get more. They need to take a page from Zero as in the say my zero S can goo 100miles per charge but the clearly specify that that is at 30 to 40 mph and not the 90 mph max the bike can do
Looks cool, I want one for an daily driver to and back from work
Hey I just saw a scooter called the extreme bull 5k to be so small it this thing is supposed to do 50 mph and has a 100 mile distance. I like the way you try things out because you tend to tell the truth about the item you test.

Was that a piece of the tail light tha fell off when you was backing it out of the garage?
Can you please review Suru cycles, are they still in business?
They work out the "max range" by testing it on a flat surface in eco mode, never trust the max range.
My moped wasn't made in the USA, it was made in Texas, yee haw
Excited to see the results
