I think that's fair considering Shaman has been dominating for too long, and Doom in the tomb event didn't help. Also regarding the new cards like Corrupt Elementalist, mahbe they're trying to stick with "Shaman class identity is to not have value generator" and "Shaman has many good battlecries" so instead they gave Shaman TOO MUCH tempo.
Thats fair, this was probably the worst expansion so far variety wise. Shaman is my fav. class and even i think we need a nerf yesterday. I just hope they dont give us the kingsbane treatment and nerf the whole thing to the ground. Kinda hope they just make the upgraded version of dragon pack cost 2 more or overload 2 and turn the final elementals from galakrond to 6/6's and be done with it. Dont agree with 1/1's with rush tho, thats a nuke rather than a nerf. Neither with 6 mana 4/3's. I kinda hate the card but 6 mana 4/3 is not really reasonable.
@@aerosounds5826 The only evolve card is Mutate which I think is shit :P Like sure get a Witchy Lackey go ham, but the 4 2/2 rush guy is just as good of a target that Rogue and Warlock can evolve.
I have to disagree with you there, all the best Shaman decks over the last few months have played mutate because of its synergy with the mogu fleshshaper. All the top Galakrond decks are running it too. If put on the right target I think it is actually excellent.
To be honest, Galakrond Shaman is a sheer killing machine, gamers will make use of it even MORE now, since the nerf has been anounced, I m 100% on your side, what I love about the game are great Combos, diversity in deck construction, creativity and fun, my perfect game usually contains one key aspect: BALANCE and surprise, i love a game that goes up and down vis à vis who sleading and likely to be th e winner, I battled a Rogue at one point, and the perspective of winning changed from 0% to 95% to 30% to 99% and back, other great games are vs an OTK (MAlygos/MEccaCthun etc) U know whats comming up and u really have to plann your moves, Sometimes I think you should work as a Blizzard spokesman for HS, you d definately do a great job bestregards F.
Haha thanks man. I completely agree with what you say about the ups and downs. There are lots of different ways to enjoy Hearthstone, so if somebody likes playing the best deck every single game then its totally fine. It is just up to Blizzard to make the game enjoyable for all types of players. Hopefully they can achieve that with the balance update.
good suggestions. i'd say keep the taunts at 2/3 but nerf buffs to +2+2. and nerf the galakrond battlecry to summon more 2/2s with rush instead of stronger rushers as the galakrond upgrades. making 6 2/2 with rush on the third stage. then the deck is super fine.
Your negativity is fair enough. The prices to play are disgustingly unreasonable for newer players, they don’t seem to test what they put out either. Games been going downhill for years. I just wish they’d stop making power creeps and making insane card quality. The games more fun when things aren’t ridiculous, where they’re just fun and skill dependant. Much more fun than playing overstatted cards
I don't think the game has been going downhill, they have done a lot of amazing things in 2019. For me personally battlegrounds is awesome and I have enjoyed the various events. They do seem to create these periods of frustration for players though. I have to applaud them for fixing things quickly, but it would be better if it was fun from the start lol.
Aerosounds yeah very good point at least they’re balancing things out quickly this time rather than previous times. Will be exciting to see if other decks can take off after shamans been nerfed a bit :)
As someone who likes to have fun, enjoy deck building process and experimenting a bit, I aggree completely. Altough, there are quite some viable decks out there, Galakrond shaman is a huge problem and is making early expansion experiance really bad. There are two main problems: firstly, shaman was already strong pre-expansion, which might make nerfing Galakrond package not that big of a deal and secondly, their Galakrond package is extremely powerfull. Not only they have the biggest impact on the board with the rush elementals, they also have the only "invoke twice" card and a very powerfull tempo swing card in Dragon's pack. I would give Dragon's pack an overload 2 (that would effect Electra interaction as well) and make Corrupt elementalist 4 mana 3/3 with only 1 invoke. I don't think that Galakrond itself needs a nerf, but the interaction with Shudderwock is quite problematic. I don't really know what a good way of nerfing it directly would be, without spoiling the upgrade logic (first upgrade is double the effect and second is quadruple): that's why they will not make final elementals 6/6. The only complain I have is about nerfs being frustrating to some people who invested their dust in nerfed decks. That's their own problem. Crafting any cards so early after release is just bad dust management. Players on budget shouldn't spend dust on most broken decks. The nerfs will come sooner or later as was the case all over again (like mage, druid, warlock and many others before). Tier 2 or even tier 3 decks are more then anough to have fun and even climb, but avoid nerf problems.
I agree with the bad dust management, however it might be easy for heavily invested players to recognise, but for others who don't play other card games or much hearthstone it might me difficult to spot a nerf coming. I don't think this should stop blizzard from making nerfs, I think it is an important thing to do, but I can understand some people's frustration
You may not have the biggest Subs, but you make a lot of sense and your play style logic is the same as mine, i don't have all the cards as FTP player, but have been playing since launch and have build up a pretty decent collection, i try to make decks that are fun rather worrying about meta decks, yes i don't win a lot but i still get my quests done and buy the odd card packs from the shop, won't be buying the new expansion, never been close to legend, best i think i ever did was getting to 10 on ladder lol. Keep up the Vids i watch ever one you post, might see u on ladder at 20 lol jk
I just hope they will change the hero power from the quest - or make 10 battlecries or change to "the first battlecry in your turn activates twice", because arriving at turn 9 and the enemy has 4 8/8 and a 5/2 weapon... isn't fun.
I play Shaman but not the Galakrond deck. I prefer Dragon-based Shaman decks because I love Lightning Breath, specially combined with Zentimo. So I actually welcome these nerfs to make more people experiment with other tools Shaman has, but are being overlooked because Galakrond is just too good.
In think for Galakrkond I would change the battlecry to summon 2/1, 4/2 and 8/4 elementals together with a nerf to Corrupt Elementalist to just Invoke once. This could be enough of a nerf that this deck would still be played but not as oppressive as it is now
This is something that I had not considered, but could actually work well. It still allows them to create big token boards to buff with Vesina or bloodlust, but limits the board control. It would definitely be an improvement
If I could play right now I'd probably be playing Shaman myself although it'd be a homebrew Dragon Murloc Quest list I've been cooking up. 11:11 I should probably finish your vid before I write my comment Lol For nerfs you could change Galakrond's 8/8s to 6/6s, make the quest reward only double your first battlecry, hall of fame Shudderwock, and maybe make the 2/1s into 1/1s. 12:57 Nah then they wouldn't be alt art Spirit Wolves instead you could make buff be +3/+2. 16:00 I agree either of these changes (6 mana or 4/3) would be fine. Honestly I wish Arena Patron was half as good as Faceless poor guy was instantly shit on when introduced, give him 'Battlecry: Gain Rush' and he would of been fine. Overall the dragons are pretty weak they are just to late game majority of the time if it wasn't Galakrond Shaman shitting on them it'd be Galakrond Zoo, Pirate Warrior, Smorc Hunter or Treant Druid. They are just way to vulnerable to aggro with the exception of Priest's and Warlock's aoe dragons. Sorry for the long comment I tend to get heated myself 😅

Far out that 5 mana 3-3 is nuts. It’s literally fungalmancer but spawns two bodies with rush rather than stats plus two invokes lol. And fungal got nerfed as it was. Yikes hearthstone
the quest is not a probleme actually the best winrate shaman is the one that do not use the quest , galakrond shaman sit at a 61% winrate which is just insane so anybody that think it's okay is just wrong , the probleme with shaman is that they have the best galakrond power and the best galakrond pack and everything they have can rush so you have no way to wrestle board control out of them , the things they should nerf are mutate /corrupt elementalist/faceless/dragon pack and even if they nerf all of those the deck is still top tier , however this is not the only deck that need nerfs since quest hunter can actually fight shaman if shaman is nerfed and they are not hunter is just gonna replace shaman , anyway they have just broken the game whatever happens control is dead until they make big changes .

I've been beat a bunch of times while using it the nerf isnt necessary, they let conjure mage and bomb warrior rock for so long before a balance yet they're nerfing shaman after a week? Buuuuuuuulllllshiiiiiiiiitt fucking weak
Awesome news, ladder has been a nuisance lately. Unfortunately the worst aspect of the current state of hearthstone is too much random card generation. The game will never be legitimately competitive at this rate.
Sorry to be so negative guys, but hopefully the balance changes can raise my excitement!

Well said. Another thing I forgot to mention about corrupt elementalist, it is also a very nice evolve target. So much value all over this deck!

One thing I would change is add a 1 mana 2/1 with rush to your hand. It’s too good to immediately be put on the field.
That'd be fair I was thinking make it a 1/1 rush instead

i thought the exact same thing of Galakrond summoning two 6/6 minions, but i would make dragons pack cost 6 or 7 mana
