Got our Kia Sonet LX AT gray for almost 2 months. Kahit entry level AT yung model hindi naman tinipid sa mga features (rear air vents, brake discs on all tires, same engine on all variants, mags, etc.). Connectivity, user interface and built quality of infotainment system is impressive. Hndi nakaka overwhelm ang features, sobrang madaling mag navigate. Tried Ford Teritory, nakaka overwhelm ang infotainment system at mejo mahirap ang navigation sa screen. For our personal test, matipid and Sonet, around 10-12 kpl sa city at 16-19 kpl sa open highways. Acceleration and torque is decent. Mataas din ang ground clearance, sobrang malaking tulong lalo na ngaung maulan at madalas ang pagbaha. I also have a Kia Soluto EX AT for more than 5 years and no problems occured. Na experience and heavy traffic, rough roads, akyatan sa Baguio at baha pero no problems ako sa Kia. Sana magtuloy tuloy sa Kia Sonet. Thank you Autodeal for justifying a purchase for the Kia Sonet! More Power and God bless!
I got the Sonet LX MT three weeks ago, and I'm very satisfied with the features and performance. Power/torque are decent, handling is good, NVH are controlled, the sound system is surprisingly nice and fuel economy is impressive. Great to have all-wheel disc brakes and rear AC vents. I drive a Ranger Raptor and a Civic RS Turbo too, and I don't feel ill-equipped when driving the Sonet LX MT as far as acceleration is concerned. At a purchase price of P 758K (less a hefty introductory discount ), I'd say this car is among the best bang-for-the-buck vehicle purchases I've ever done. I'm an old school MT guy, so the base model simply ticks all the right boxes for me.
The Sonet's low kerb weight + relatively large 1.5L engine is probably why it feels so preppy. It weighs about as much as a Toyota Raize, but with a bigger engine.
@@ricdonaldesmilla8616 For short trips (5 km or less) in the suburbs, I'm averaging 11 km/L. At longer trips in highways, 14 - 16 km/L. But I'm still under 1T km (under break-in), so the fuel mileage isn't stable yet. Nice to have a 6th gear when cruising, this allows lower RPMs for fuel economy.
Im in love with my sonet. Peppy, comfortable, and smooth. I have the LX variant and if you are looking for a first car. Would definitely recommend it over the raize and wigo. That's saying a lot because I'm a Toyota fan boy.

KIA got a winner here. Competition is indeed good for buyers. It’s an opportunity for those car manufacturers who are too complacent (blah car features and make) because of their brand to shape up.
Winner sa segment niya IMO. Lalo na pag naka MT ka, may extra oomph. Ramdam ko na nga ang hatak ng Ertiga MT na mas lower ang output tas bigger body, eto pa kaya.
Probably one of the best bang for your buck na car. All with decent but up to date features and styling with comfort! Reliability is a no no question na halos, come on! Its 2024 not 1990s!!
In 2024, choosing between Japanese and Korean car brands is still important, even though things have changed a lot since the 90s. Both Japanese and Korean automakers have made great improvements in quality, technology, and design. Japanese brands are known for their reliability and long-lasting value, which means they often have higher resale prices. If reliability and resale value are your main concerns, Japanese brands might be the better choice. On the other hand, if you’re looking for advanced technology and good value for money, Korean brands might be a better fit.

Robust! Hehehe. Seriously, this has the Raize beaten by an extra cylinder and the infotainment system. I think this will be a good daily driver. Thanks for the review!
Yet it feels like sendan inside. If you're 5'10 up. This is not for you. Head room and legroom are tight. 2nd row will be uncumfortable if the driver is tall.
@@nathanch16I disagree, doesn't feel like a sedan inside due to the upright position of the seats. Head room and Leg room is good in front and rear for a tall person like me (I'm 5'11 btw). I was able to test drive the SX Variant and it's way better than my Raize when it comes to NVH and build quality.
Yah maybe I'm wrong. But I'm only talking about the size inside. and well it's supposed to be better bec raize is 2 years old, and sonet will definitely be more expensive after the introductory price.
My first ever car. Glad I got this instead of MG ZS Alpha (maraming issues daw). Only thing I don't like is medyo malakas sa gas pag matraffic due to city driving
I have a kia sonet EX, by the way conduction sticker is AN 475A 😅 (test vehicle is AN 474A) if there’s a 3rd passenger in the rear, his/her knees will block the aircon vents.😢
Off topic: Not alot of people talk about the raize in Philippines, but alot of people spread their hate on that car online! 😂 I have spotted some people key-ing raize cars, or should I say, using the key to scratch the raize paint and leave. Not all raize have scratches that are visible. But I have seen them close up. No wonder why I see more raize are parked in safe spaces with guards compared to publicly parked in open parking area. Also, I don't know wht raize is popular. Seeing this Kia, this is far better than raize. I guess it's marketing.
This has so far been a really great insight into the Kia Sonet! And I absolutely love this model. But this is the top of the line variant, and I'd like to know more about the mid-range variant. Curious about your and/or anyone’s thoughts on Vios vs Raize vs Sonet. Specificially: Toyota Vios XLE CVT priced at P902k, Toyota Raize 1.2 E CVT at P936k Kia Sonet LX at P888k (the EX variant at P998 may be too pricey but if worth it, we may consider). Looking to buy an automatic car for less than Php1M (ideally only around the 900k price point). (I know Vios is of a different category but we did compare Vios and Wigo and figured we'd get better value with the former.) I've driven a Kia (Rio hatchback) before and I've been in love with Kia ever since, but have always been iffy about its quality and service/support in the long run. Something a Toyota definitely has and edge on. We’ve done our research and really leaning to one of these but would appreciate any inputs!
PLEASE make a review of the Tesla CYBERTRUCK, I have already seen 2 reviews about it here in the Philippines, We hope to see your version of review about it while the Cyber truck is still around.
