The mushroom comment by Steve, resonates so much. During Zapdos max out monday, I had two players that play frequently bring in Kingler and Dubwool to dmax battles and think a mushroom would help their non level up pokemon. Both players didnt level up their max moves/guards or spirits, at all nor think it was needed. And neither thought about weaknesses. Concern for Moltres day as even with my feedback doubt they will listen.
Moltres ex can only get energy for fire pokemon but Diagla does not have that restriction (based on what's shown on the video, actual card tbc), so there's a huge expectation on whether it could use to accelerate cards like mew ex.
Accountant here. Sales tax is different by state and county. I live in 7% county but if I buy off certain webstores I only pay 6% because that’s state only. It should be based off where you live not where you purchase but it’s not consistently applied online. CA “generally” exempts sales tax on digital goods. MN considers digital goods taxable. It could be falling into a gray area/not consistent application of law to charge Steve and not Bobby or Al. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
Another correction: wonder pick technically does also have two currencies. There's the wonder pick hourglasses and also the rewind watches for expired wonder picks. Not exactly the same since you don't necessarily need both together like trading does.
I would like it if niantic did an event where all of the Pokémon that have been dmax spawned as their non-dmax versions in the wild or appeared in raids so that I could get the candy for them
I think the idea of the tokens is to restrict rarity of trades. Hourglasses restrict number of trades, tokens restrict how many EX you can trade in that time etc
My guess is that the Trade tokens are gotten by burning cards (similar to flair and special shop tickets burning cards) while the hourglasses are built up over time like the rest. So this is a way of solving the ballooning card inventories (turns all duplicate cards into a single currency) while still being a “free” currency and having a separate use case from hourglasses.
An nice idea would be attaching a tool (Rocky Helmet) to Weezing then Koga-ing him back and getting the tool back then replaying the Helmet back out on the new active. It is crazy how many people don't realize the app is based on the physical card game.
Digital sales tax differs from state-to-state, county-to-county, or even city-to-city sometimes. I would assume that where a company is located is irrelevant to whether or not you get charged sales tax on their digital goods. The sales tax Steve pays on PoGO web store items shouldn't be California sales tax, but Minnesota sales tax, because Minnesota does have sales tax on certain digital goods. I live in AZ and I pay 10.25% sales tax on the web store because, in AZ, there is a base 5.6% sales tax on digital goods and then a variable 0-5.6% additional tax that is dependent on WHERE in AZ I am. Determining location-dependent sales tax amounts can be done by checking the IP address of the device you are using to make a purchase. It is worth noting that IP addresses can also change depending on where you are in the world. So you pay MN sales tax when you buy from the web store on a device that is located in MN, but if you purchased from the web store on that same device while it is actually located in California, you should not be charged the sales tax since your IP address on that device would change to a CA-based IP. This would explain why Al didn't pay any sales tax while he was in LA.
For me when it comes to the dynamax feature I don’t like it for two reasons, one I don’t have the materials for the pokemon and secondly I’m not able to do max Monday. I am level 40 and have to power up raid counter and dmax counters which I just don’t have the stardust or candies for (especially when it comes to unlocking moves). I also have school so I can’t do raids on max mondays and when I went too MOA on Saturday I wasn’t able to do any raids because no one did them when I was there. I wish they did it as a weekend event like with the gigantamax. Love the podcast it is super informational.

51:19 "there aren't that many Fairy Pokémon" Ahem... there are currently 71 Fairy Pokémon. The Electric type is exclusively represented by Lightning in the TCG, there are 75 Electric type Pokémon! The next lowest one after that is Steel with 79 for Metal, then Fire, with 89, but it's always bothered me that Fire gets to be its own type when it isn't THAT common, while several abundant types get grouped... and Steel not being paired with anything despite even Darkness being 2 types by now.
Fire, Electric, and Metal have their own type because elementally they're pretty unique. The others that share are somewhat related to each other. It's not really based on how common the types are.
I thought y'all trying to figure out the reasoning for the tarde currencies was funny, but then you started discussing some multi-tiered currency that I didn't even know existed in the game 🤣 Pocket is getting stranger as time goes on!
I am recording. bah bah OH MY GOD IT'S AL

Thank you guys for making my Mondays better!
Thank you so much! Happy to help!

I actually didn’t realize that. Great point then! Thanks for pointing that out.

This is what I love waking up to

I don’t think I have ever used rewind expect the time it forces you when you got the game 😂

I'll pass that feedback to them
Excited for Sleep revealing events for the swords of justice on pokemon day! 🙏
OMG NOT STEVE BRINGING THEM UP 20SECOND AFTER I POST THAT XD
Nice. Now I don't feel crazy.
😂😂😂
Very professional 👌

Good call! I can get behind that guess.

If you’re around MoA I can trade you extra that you missed
Awsome
The biggest rabbit hole is Wonder picking god packs. It’s wild
43:55 with Moltres you can only put that energy on fire pokemon
Yeah, my mistake! Sorry! Still similar and I bet we'd see more of these ex applying energy to the bench going forward in future sets.
@ I appreciate you guys content! Definitely fun to watch
For the boys episode 🔥
😂
I’m always annoyed by the conversation of new cards being “broken,” like the devs don’t play test these additions before they release them.
Quagsire is my favorite dragon XDD
Tarountula is spelled wrong.
I am annoyed by the cold bah bah bah
I know multiple McDonald's that have literally run out because people are just buying the toys 🤦
I don't wish they make another type for Togekiss.
I'm still waiting for the actual Hoenn remakes to come out!
What do you mean by that?
