Looking at my original dinobots, This comparison with Scoria is almost up-scaled toy size. Slag's dino nose on the back of his head is just a couple mm over Grimlock's head.
I had MP-08 and hated that he was shorter than Optimus. Once I found out about this, I had to get him. At the time when I got him, MP-08 was still going for about $200 so he was bigger, better quality, stiffer joints, and cheaper. Your description was exactly how I felt when I got him in hand. Great vid!
That thing is totally awesome! Great review....man I want this but then I'll have to start collecting transformers. Oh dude, I was able to score the exclusive metallic red and gold mechatro for like $40!!!! Hope you found him too
I received mine a few days ago and it's amazing, well worth all the delays. Unfortunately on mine the autobot logo in his chest in robot mode is not there. It's just grey like in the picture. All in all this is a must have and looks perfect in dino mode next to the other autobots.
I always appreciate your reviews. I like the fact you buy your figures for the passion.of adding to.your collection. Not like a few other reviewers. Always happy to see new reviews. How's the Prime fewture looking these days? That's one I wish I cod really add to my collection.
Mann! That thing is a Masterpiece! Why would anyone buy any other Grimlock after seeing this! It makes fanstoys and the original look weak, almost like last years models. The Scale is perfect, dinobots are suppose to be massive. Hate when people are fanboys, oh I mean FanToys is better because his too big! How about you're too small. The Dinobots are supposed to be massive bulky Robots, that's how they were portrayed in the first episode and in the new Transformers power of the primes that's how they're portrayed. As always Great review!
Nice review Charles! Makes me consider tracking one down now. Size is just right in comparison to MPs. As far as extra features, carried over from the original, does this KO still have in dino mode: 1- the connection between the tail and the neck, that allows you to wag, or twist the tail, which moves the head/neck back n forth? 2- the button on left cheek plate which makes the spring loaded opened mouth chomp down? 3- the cockpit hatch (for a Diaclone driver) on the center back spine? Excellent job fitting this beast into your camera frame area, and showing the scale comparisons.
This is an amazing piece period!!! But then to find out it's a KO just blows my mind. Its amazing when a KO made by a company with far less capital outdoes the likes of Hasbro and Takara. Just imagine what they could do with those companies budgets.
don't like the blue but that's an easy fix to me. crazy to see KOs like this, mpp-10, and the evasion mode optimus where its bigger and better in every way. transformer fans have it made. what other fandom gets any and every version of a character, and in multiple sizes and price tiers?
I got mine a few days ago, and while I love him, and he feels like he's better quality than the real MP, but I am having trouble opening his chest in dino mode to turn him back into a robot. It's shut tight and it has no grooves or tabs for leverage, so I was curious how you do the first step in his transformation from dino to robo. Thanks for your time!
perfect size!...... now where are the rest? I hope they show swoop some love,... cause for some reason he is all ways getting the short end of the stick,.... so glad I past on all those combiner Dino bots!😄😆
Awesome review! I have been watching this toy for a while and I am impressed. Does it feels tighter than the original? My original grimlock, along with many others, was so wobbly out the box. I didn't see any of that with this ko, can you confirm?
hey Charles..this looks very good, quite impressive. I am thinking about this oversized KO or G creations Wrath..what do you think? (as Stand alone Grimlock)
i dont have the other one so its hard to say really. This one is well made so I would suggest checking out videos for both and see if the other is high quality. Then choose which one looks better to you.
I would go for the g creations personally.I would be very weary on buying this as another reviewer (the 80s transformer fan) bought this and was doing a review and when he opened his 1 BOTH arms were MISSING....
+monkeybubbles I still say go for the one you like more. Im hoping this is an isolated incident. As you can see mine was perfect and it was sealed so they didnt cherry pick mine
Love your videos mate. Have a merry Xmas from Aus...I really dont know why these guys bother putting in such a small amount of die-cast..Does it really make any difference to the feel of the figure? Or do they just do it to be able to a put die cast marketing label on it??
+N3RFTHIS I think its because the original Grimlock has it like that. They used the diecast in the areas that need it most. The shoulders benefit from it as does the crotch. The claws however are probably for wow factor but serve to give weight to the feet in dino mode
So you got a sample. Does that mean you keep it for free or do you send it back? Respectively. But I need to know conflicts of interest perceived or otherwise to evaluate someone's opinion.
+Peter Gianakopoulos Some samples from certain providers have to be sent back. In this case TF-Direct has provided this to me for review. I can see where there might be a reason to think that a reviewer may hype up a figure due to receiving it for free. TF-Direct does not set up "guidelines" for their reviews. They just ask for honesty. Fortunately what I have received from them has been good quality products.
That's cool bro. I am in no means suggesting you are biased by any means but in every field from politics, medicine to toy collecting if you do not disclose "potential" conflicts of interest then it is perceived that you do have a biased rather than stating it up front. So I would encourage you to do so. Happy New Year. Btw I preordered the oversized G1 colours before you responded. :)
+Peter Gianakopoulos no problem, I mean you kind of have to walk a fine line sometimes because you dont want to piss off peope who are providing content for a channel but thats usually a concern when dealing direct with a manufacturer. In the case of shops, it works in their favor, although maybe not initially if theyve invested lots of money in a crappy product but in the end it helps weed out the crap and helps to make sure manufacturers think twice before cutting corners. UA-cam reviews have been very beneficial in improving products because its an avenue to just tell it like it is. but yes some people gloss over crap because they wanna continue getting free things.

really want this thing. just don't want to kick myself when takara ends up making a gridlock 2.0

That is impressive! Wow. I would prefer the original colors but I love how big Grimlock is. This one is now on the radar. Thank you for the review!
+Ali Robins Regular color is now up for preorder
Sweet! Thank you!
+RocketPunchArmy where can you pre order this im from the uk
You are awesome. Fair and accurate. Most other reviewers are arrogant and close minded.
I myself wôuld like the oversized Grimlock
Seems like a nice quality KO! A great stand in if you hate the size of the official one. Thank you for the in depth comparison.
+eyescovered Glad you enjoyed the review, stay tuned for more!
MERRY CHRISTMAS MAN! Thanks for all the great free TF review advice!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I hope I can still get one of these because I have to wait til later this week.
+Mark Seven If not, regular color is coming out soon
RocketPunchArmy Oh NOW u tell me.. I already ordered it. Lol
damn it on buying one. tf-direct keep sending this man toys he's selling them for you :)
use code qylau for RPA discouny
+RocketPunchArmy I tried this code but it doesn't work. Do you have an updated one?
I ordered mine from Tf Direct it read in stock and ready to ship. In my receipt I got a thanks for a pre order.
That thing is totally awesome! Great review....man I want this but then I'll have to start collecting transformers. Oh dude, I was able to score the exclusive metallic red and gold mechatro for like $40!!!! Hope you found him too
collecting transformers is addictive. ☺
+XXTROB HOWWWW????????!!!!!!!
+RocketPunchArmy gotta use the Japanese auction sites....some great deals there 👌
Good thing yours came with arms. I just watched a review and when they took it out of the box and both arms were missing.
I saw that too.don't know who makes this but how could they not notice that that 1 had no arms....males me think twice about buying this.

+John Anhalt Is his logo on the dino mode?
+idstealer000 Yes and it's every bit as good as RPA says.
+wudz I'll have to take a look, thanks.

the hard part of designing the toy was done already. all they did was copy and enlarge it.
don't like the blue but that's an easy fix to me. crazy to see KOs like this, mpp-10, and the evasion mode optimus where its bigger and better in every way. transformer fans have it made. what other fandom gets any and every version of a character, and in multiple sizes and price tiers?
+mantis999999999 Yeah the TF fandom is one of a kind. Looks like you wont need to paint anything cause the regular color is coming out next!
@@RocketPunchArmy im 7 years late but do you happen to know why they decided to release the comic color version first?
Mine came without the symbol on the chest, I wonder if there´s a way to remove the translucent plate so I Can put an Autobot Sticker inside?
unbelievable in hand!! don't care if it's Ko it's awesome
Just got one, very very hefty and awesome if not for the missing dino arms on my piece... hopefully they'll send me replacement parts.
+Ron Ng wow, second person I hear having this issue. Hope it gets fixed
+RocketPunchArmy , yeah still waiting on my replacement arms from tf-direct... here's hoping they'll send me the arms by the end of this month...
Ordered! Thank you for the review.
+castrobabble No problem, enjoy your giant Grimlock!
What sucks is that he is too big to fit the FT figures. Wish he was just a bit smaller.
Thanks for your time!
i dont recall exactly what i did actually, i just know I was being careful cause theres a part where you have to pull and it was a tad difficult.
perfect size!...... now where are the rest? I hope they show swoop some love,... cause for some reason he is all ways getting the short end of the stick,.... so glad I past on all those combiner Dino bots!😄😆
Does anyone know where I can get a set of replacement hands for this figure?
Pretty cool! Did Grimlock ever use his sword in the cartoon?
will they make a reg color edition?
in robot mode the official version is like the g1 in comparison to this as far as size goes.
Beautiful figure. Thanks for sharing. I hope things are going OK over there.
+sal cipriano Im working on getting things going well, Holidays have been very rough here
I think we just crossed the social media streams. But echoing what I said on FB, hang in there, man!
I would like to see it next to mp 01
Where can you get this these days?
I think he would scale perfectly with the GigaPower Dinos.
Awesome review! I have been watching this toy for a while and I am impressed. Does it feels tighter than the original? My original grimlock, along with many others, was so wobbly out the box. I didn't see any of that with this ko, can you confirm?
everything on mine is tight especially the shoulders
Wonder if they will make a cartoon version.
+NYManChild It's schedule for production. According to TF-Direct.com
hey Charles..this looks very good, quite impressive. I am thinking about this oversized KO or G creations Wrath..what do you think? (as Stand alone Grimlock)

What company makes this figure? Is it Wei Jiang??

Where can i buy this? What's the company's name? Thanks man reall appreciate it!
wolfybezurkydonk the link is in the description to where I got it. Not sure of company name though since its a KO
when I last went to tf direct they were out of these. Is there another site you trust to go on and get this figure?
i thought they had wave 2 up recently?
+RocketPunchArmy Nope wave 2 sold out. They will just let me put it on my wish list.
+Marvin Lee sux! I doubt it will be last wave. That wiuld be silly to stop
+RocketPunchArmy So why do I suck because they sold out?
+Marvin Lee hahaha no no you read it wrong! the sux means it sux that its sold out
do a review of dynamic change shin getter robo
+Bros of pewdiepie I dont have that set, sorry. But if I ever grab one of course!
very impressive. I'll b looking for one
+jrimme link is in the description to grab one, if sold out, they have preorders for standard color up
+RocketPunchArmy yeah that's the one I'm looking for.
Who actually makes this? I cant find a company name anywhere. I thought it might be Weijang, but they always take credit for their work.
There is a video of another guy opening it and it has no arms... so QC may be an issue for some. Beware
watch?v=79X6sbF71SM
+El Bastardo I saw that but seems to be an isolated incident so far

Dope Channel.Subbed
+Yale Bansfield Thanks for the sub and enjoy!
hands down I would get this one before the Hasbro or Takara version.
Looks awesome to me
I got the cartoon color version of this big boy
I think Grimlock should be even bigger but this size is much better than the MP size.
beautiful
great review thumps up
yo very cool there. But still I like the fans toys release better.
Also I will buy it but I just wish it had die cast and the Fans toys version is coming out too
+Brian Kuang this does have diecast parts also. The shoulders, claws and crotch. Thats about it though
dat 60fps tho'
+Benedictus Haryanto I gave up on that. Videos take too damn long to render
Whoa this is way too big... No good for FT dinobots.
