This looks excellent, all of them look amazing but this for sure looks the easiest to get now for peeps like me that haven't had the pleasure of owning a Masterpiece Grimlock.
I bought this figure when it was first released and it is the only MP Dinobot in my collection, and I love him. His light up gimmick is really crap, though. It's an L.E.D. in the hand and when activated it's supposed to glow through the clear pieces on the sword and gun. It worked one time on mine then the wires broke so I just cut them out. His mouth gimmick is cool though it's spring loaded and clicks and locks into place as you open it so when you press the button on the left side of the snout his mouth snaps shut. Glad to know he's close to the same size as the Giga Power as I want to get those when I have more disposable funds. Great Review and look forward to the comparison vid.
Great review! I'm looking for this Grimlock, but just one thing that I don't like: the transparent chest plate and Dino neck. It seems tinted in blue, it looks weird... not gold chrom at all. Can you confirm it please?
I have no leads on the non-chrome version of this. I got the one in my review from ShowZStore when it re-released a few months ago for around $90. I don’t think the non-chrome version is re-released, but I’m not 100%.
Mine arrived today. Really happy with it so far, all tight joints! Some pant missing on his die cast cod piece I noticed and I have the same burn mark thing on his crown. I’m looking for how to transform this beast since I’ve never messed with mp-08 and this thing comes with no instructions lol.
I transform him in this video, but I’m not sure if I got the back end correct. Nothing seems to tab in. Emgo316 likely has an MP08 video you can use, and BensKOllectables transforms this guy too.
@@fcfinch8931 yeah I wasn’t sure either and watched Benscollectables video also but it looks to be how he transforms, Can’t see how else it tabs together it’s like from the hips his tail is it’s own thing, kinda articulated. A little question… is the crown supposed to be worn in dino mode or nah?
@@fcfinch8931 yeah, I saw the tab slot on his head but just realised it’s to tab into his back in bot mode. I’m tempted by these gigapower figures now, would you say they are worth the £200+ price tag?

@@antonb348 the crown doesn’t clip on or anything. You can just loosely place it on his Dino head as far as I know.

The size, the paint, the attention to detail is superb. The GigaPower will make a shelf pop.
to be honnest i never liked Grimlock in hes robot form.. to much chrome...
His Dino form looks absolutely beautiful.. can’t wait for mine to get here
