It was the fourth loss at the event for the World Champion, whereas Alexander Grischuk (RUS, 2757) has lost only one game against Nepomniachtchi. Magnus has expressed his respect for Sasa to many times. The fact that he did not leave the table immediately, as he usually does when he loses and sat down to listen when he lost his movement, shows how much he respects it.

@@sohampramanik1733 Who said anything about Magnus? But since you already mentioned, big difference between those two is that Magnus is a hard worker, he prepares for every competition thoroughly, he assembles the team (on top of the hundreds people that already work for him and with him) and spends a lot of time studying. He has a huge ambitions and drive, he just hate to lose to the point that it is becomes almost a biological imperative for him to win, and that's all fine, that is a mentality you would expect from champion to have. On the other hand Grischuk never in his life prepared seriously for a competition, especially nowadays, he just shows up and if he's having a good day he can crush anyone. Not to mention his time management and the fact that he often spends almost all of his time thinking about all possible variations of just one move (like the old masters used to do in the times of "romantic chess") and then continues to play classical game like it's a blitz, with just a couple of minutes on his clock and still manages to prevail in many instances against the best players in the world. Dude is a "Super GM" for more than two decades with less effort and work invested then any other top player. All of this just shows what a monstrous talent this man possess and if he just took chess more seriously he would be unstoppable.
