The antibiotics will get rid of the tooth infection for about a month before it'll come back so they should see you right until you can get the root canal done. The infection will start to improve after a couple of days on em.
@TriathlonDan I've had the issue for a couple of years, so its always been painful, it is still a wee bit inflamed lol. I have had to deal with a chest infection as well lol
Hope you feel better soon, I hate the dentist. As far as embarrassing medical moments go, I nearly fainted at the vet's when I was told my (at the time) 4 month old puppy needed a major op on his leg. The veterinary nurses ended up looking after me instead of the dog - super embarrassing.
Glad you got your NHS treatment but, just in case you need the info, there is an NHS emergency dentist in Derby in Normanton. I refer people there occasionally. Yes, people ring 999 for toothache 😮🚑
Horrible isn't it.. I'm not scared of injections but i hate the drilling and feeling like I'm suffocating whilst it's all going on. I also don't like the cost.. just had 3 crowns fitted and I'm now £1k worse off 😢

Thanks, it's lots better now, but it's going to be rough couple of weeks getting it sorted in Jan :)
I had a tooth pulled yesterday,; infection in the root, so needless to say meds didnt numb completely, very painful lol
Oh nooo, hope that's feeling better by now!

Be kind to yourself Dan these things happen buddy! Take a couple of days, reset get your head space right and go again 🙏
Thanks very much :)
That was me, years ago. I'm over my phobia now but wish I hadn't avoided the dentist for so long. Missed my run today too, groin strain!
Ahh no way, hope you get that sorted soon. Needles I've struggled with all my life and I'm not paying for therapy haha

No run? I’d be counting that sprint from the car to the dentist!
