8:44 Watching those iron blocks melting was quiet surprisingly impressive for any game. It seemed like the bottom blocks melted first. I can't imagine what it took to develop this and to get it run as well as it does here in the video. I haven't checked the system requirements for this game yet though.

This is a non furnace question, but what settings do you use to make the landscape blocks far into the distance still look so sharp? On my computer the terrain gets more blocky farther into the distance. Thanks.
it's the LOD level. if you put it on high, the distance looks better. I use custom values for teh LOD, that's why there is the ini-option. There I oncreased teh LOD even furter. But that is only possible, because I have a powerful PC. And it takes a few tries to find the balance between high LOD and good performance
@@DavePearson aaahhh sorry I Was mistaken this game with another one. In cyubeVR you have to add 20 items of the same kind. So if you have 11sand in the chamber, you still need to add the 20 iron to get the melting done. And because you had 20 iron ore, you will get iron. The counter for iron will not appear until the ore overcomes the Sand. So if you put 10 iron in the chamber, it still counts the 11 sand

Hi ich hätte ne frage zu dem ofen! ich habe den komplett zusammengebaut aber er leuchtet nicht grün! ist es wichtig wie der zusammengebaut wird , oder ist das egal ? müssen die nuggets alle gleich sein ?
du hast wahrscheinlich in der mittleren Ebene im Ofen die gesammte Zwischenebe mit Steinen zu gebaut. an der hinteren Wand müssen 2x1 Stein frei bleiben. Stell dir das wie ein Rauchabzug vor. Der Qualm aus der unteren Kammer muss ja irgendwie zum Schornstein kommen.in der Rezeptansicht kannst du die Rotation pausieren, indem du auf das Pausezeichen oben links zeigst. Dann kannst du genau schauen, wo du die Steine frei lassen musst
I built the furnace but it doesn't place on the ground even on completely flat land . I drag it from the menu but then it dissappears . I hope it's not a bug . I've only played 4 hours of the game so if it is a bug now is the time to delete the save and start again .
@@SKBKER yes you have to put it to the right side, so that you can select the furnace from the radial menu. Just like when you place blocks in the world.
maybe you put 2 too many stones in the middle of the furnace. there is a stonelayer between the lower burning chamber and the upper meltinchamber. these 2 chambers are connected. at the back of the funrace there should be a 2x1 gap

And I made a few dozens of them by now :D maybe the chimney is 1 too short, or the extention to the left is not in the middle? And if things just don't want to work, build a new one. it takes about 20min. so it is still better than not having one at all :D oh maybe you missplaced the copper. Or you used some iron ore and confused it with stone ( I did this a few times, when melting iron)

One thing I didn't quite catch from this: if you do add a mixture of iron ore and sand, what's the result in the mold?
You will get whatever was the most present in the melting chamber. If you add 9 Sand and 11 iron ore, you'll get iron

Did you put the furnace in the radial menu? The furnace is pretty big, so make sure there is enough space upwards for the chimmney.
I don't know what the radial menu is . I dragged it from the left of my inventory . So do you have to put it on the right side before dragging it .
