  • Today we are covering the installation of two products on our project TW200.
First, we installed the ProCycle Tail Tidy Kit. Next, we then installed a JNS LED Headlight.
Converting to LED lighting frees up some of that waisted energy on conventional incandescent bulbs. With this upgrade you can now install accessories like auxiliary lights and/or heated grips, or even a heated seat. Some bikes benefit so greatly from a complete LED conversion, that you can run multiple forms of heated gear. The amount of power needed to support heated gear is often overlooked when adding the accessories to a motorcycle. The problem with adding too many electrical accessories to a bike, is demand it puts on your battery and stator. Too much heated gear will drastically shorten the life of these components. Plus, the extra lighting is also a must have improvement if you ride any time after the sun goes down.

Did I miss the part where you show off how well the tail tidy works or was that important part left on the cutting room floor?

Cool upgrades on the TW. Is there a Tail Tidy for the XT225?

Thank you! At the moment we don't have a Tail Tidy kit for the XT225. We are looking into it though. The rear fender makes it a little challenging. It took us a while to get something going for the XT250.

    Great improvements!
But, not using blue Loctite on all the bolts?

You don't need to put loctite on any of those bolts. You can if you want to though.

@@Adventurebean541 Yes, I do on almost all bolts. Not necessary, but I don't lose nuts or bolts when I use it. An easy and cheap way to not lose parts. I know that a properly torqued bolt will stay tight 90% of the time. I carry a small supply of common size nuts and bolts and it has been handy to be able to replace the ones that disappeared while riding. Funny thing is that the ones that came off didn't have Loctite.
