I found out that the song was recorded in just 24 hours even though it originally wasn't gonna be in the movie! But after hearing it they changed their minds, filming was tight but they did it! Also Adrian did the choreography for the song too!
Adrian is AMAZING!!! When I first moved to LA (right before 9/11)...I got cast as his wife "Dusty" in the film "Until Morning." He was SUCH a GEM to work with. I absolutely ADORE him. Additionally, he's one of the most humble people I've ever worked with!!!
To me, he played three iconic characters - Goose, then, Thelma's husband Daryl, in Thelma and Louise, and, of course, the one he is most known for, Shooter McGavin from Happy Gilmore.
I always 2 love kill the Look like Johnny Nogerelli the hair T Birds black leather jacket i always love too this jacket from Adrian Zemd because i just love this guy he just steel the scenes from this 80.5 most famous classic movie of all time this movie of grease 2 1982 make my day in my rock n roll childhood live bring back the goid old 1982 you got what it takes 2 make it in too the big time
Ya know theyre lipsyncing right? This is the exact track in the movie. Particularly since Christopher McDonald is not a Bass. And I realize yer comment was 2 yrs ago. But I just came acrossed it. Woulda said so 2 yrs ago too hah
@@DeathbySkullfxxx Dude...Really? You mean this wasn't a live concert in the middle of a bowling ally? Next you will tell me they aren't really in high school...
Every artist was made to lip sync on this show & many other shows at the time. I can’t get over how much the crowd was going crazy for them. I love them & they 100% deserve that response, I’m just pointing out how awesome the crowd was.
Damn awesome, but it seems like it's lip-synching, since there is absolutely no variation between the song from `Prowlin'' from the soundtrack or the version played here. Either way it's just awesome!
Ken Masterson they never sang live on these shows. American Bandstand Soul Train and Solid Gold all the stars lip synced their songs that's just how it was back in the day.
this was very common back then because music execs didn't want a consumer to be disappointed when they purchased the record in store and it sounded different. it doesn't age well though. i of coarse prefer the live singing.
Kevin Meehan Actually some performances on Solid Gold were live. There are stars like Stevie Nicks who refused to lip-synch on the show and insisted on performing live, and Joe Cocker was known to also refuse to lip-synch on the show.
Adrian Zmed as Johnny Nogerelli i just wanted 2 kill the look the hair the black t birds jacket you just steel all the scenes from this the most classic hit smash hit rockin movie the best movie ever made
CMissShelleyMichelle the clip is choppy because it was recorded on VHS 📼 back in the 80’s, so the quality sometimes may not have been that great and neither were the TV’s operated with the antenna back in the day .
@@r.ferrera4310 Oh okay, thanks for the info. The old CRTV's like the Sony Trinitron that dominated the eighties and even the old beta max vs vhs battle which vhs won. And the cassette tape (played on a Sony Walkman of course) vs cd battle which cd's won. And the rabbit ears as they called the antenna back then.
Still listening to this in 2024. Nagerelli was the best. Made me want to be a t bird as a kid.
I have legit loved Grease 2 my whole life. But I'm ashamed to admit I had no idea the Teebird played Solid Gold until now.
My left ear sure enjoyed this...

Danny may have sung more iconic Grease soundtracks....but Johnny took the TBirds to SOLID GOLD.
I met Goose about a year ago. Coolest guy EVERRR !!!
To me, he played three iconic characters - Goose, then, Thelma's husband Daryl, in Thelma and Louise, and, of course, the one he is most known for, Shooter McGavin from Happy Gilmore.

It's lip-synced, but still great.

Ya know theyre lipsyncing right? This is the exact track in the movie. Particularly since Christopher McDonald is not a Bass. And I realize yer comment was 2 yrs ago. But I just came acrossed it. Woulda said so 2 yrs ago too hah

Christopher McDonald actually did pretty good for himself

I wish this video was better quality!
Jonnny is my idol
Those are the same T-Birds from Grease 2

Its is synced. Notice how when hes using the mic and swinging it he still is just as loud singing into the mic lol McDonald isnt a bass either.

Good marketing

CMissShelleyMichelle absolutely, we’ve come along way since then 👍
😮😮😮😮 they were on Solid Gold??? I thought the movie sucked didn't do well at the box office
I wish they had shown the GUYS a lot more and not the stupid backup dancers. Chris McDonald is my guilty pleasure crush. Now, come on!
For me it was Peter Frechette
