Champion Generator Won't Start

This Champion generator would not start. After some initial troubleshooting it was found that there was an issue with the carburetor. After cleaning the carburetor the generator is now running.

I would have cleaned that carburetor the exact same way Robby . No need to pull it off if you don't have to. Great video again sir. Take care and catch you on your next one.

I storing a gas generator for a year or three or more, does it make sense to put ATF or motor oil in the carb? Some say to do this so the carb does not rust...

I never have. I leave them sit empty. However I live in a dry climate.

I have a 4000w and the 6000w units. Both have bad factory carbs. Champion will not send me the repair/replace kits. So much for customer service. The Predator/Harbor Freight customer service blows champion away.

Small engine shop will have the kits and there common parts

If you cannot start an engine normally , than do your starting fluid next . This will tell you if you have spark , compression , mechanical timing , Ignition trimming . are all OK . If it does not run on prime then do more testing .

You need a new carb , fuel hose and filter plus a new tank valve if you are using gasoline 😢

I spent over $1000 for that generator at home depot brand new for my food truck and it just stop running sent it to a mechanic shop and it still isn't running
