Why dont we ban Maxx C for comunity tournaments? If it's successful and people have more fun maybe Konami finally gets rid of it or maybe give us at least a separate ranked mode without it. We need to let Konami know the game is more enjoyable without it
Yeah they gotta try at least once or twice as an experiment, it would be a much better viewer experience not having every third game decided by this damn minigame
@@jimtsap04 Or Dkayed could try to force an "errata" of Maxx C for his tournaments. Something like "maxx c can only be activated if you control no monsters" and the players have to stick to that rule. Would ofc be a couple of missplays here and there, but hey, eventually I'm sure the new maxx c rule would become muscle memory.

I mean, not really though. At least with Rescue Ace the deck does something different, making the deck a control deck with the spells & traps. Thus making the TTTs completely ineffective.
This Prank-Kids version just makes a strictly worse version of the end board. It's still a powerful end board of course, but you're just spending more UR CP to make a weaker end-board without upsides.
Hell, it doesn't even help with the sometimes weakness to Stun Snake Eyes can have because its normal summonable monsters are small, because so are Prank Kids.
This deck is really only worth it if you like Prank Kids.

I hate it so much when the player going second gets C'd, even when they manage to break the board through extra handtraps they use up all their resourses and the opponent still has like a 10 card hand. Just so infuriating and unfair.
Feels exactly the same when the player going second plays around negates only to get Nib'd. Garbage hand traps.
Forgive my ignorance, I have only been playing for about a year and a half now, and maybe I am a bit biased because I am a huge Galaxy/Photon fan, but why do more people not run a Galaxy/Photon deck competitively - It seems to be so strong in so many cases. I have beaten Branded, Labyrinth, Sword-soul and many other with my Galaxy/Photon OTK deck.
If people want to play a strong deck they would just pick a tiered deck. GE is rogue. People play rogue decks because they like it’s gameplay, art, or lore. Which GE doesn’t especially appeal to most
@@FrostReave yeah man I posted a Reddit post asking a similar question and quickly realized that your opinion is a commonly shared sentiment - and I agree - it is a beautiful and awesome deck to play with, but unfortunately it just doesn't compete quite as well against the current meta decks.
But also i found that people agree it is quite a complex deck to play properly, and in the right hands can compete pretty well actually, but again, it's not a commonly chosen deck and is easily beaten to a lot of early negate decks.

God, is every "top tier" deck in MD just a pile deck of 10 archetype cards and then a load of floodgates and op garbage? 15:09 the "Prank Kids" deck is playing Apollusa, Snake Eyes, Pitknight, Spright, one prank kids and two PK spells on field, and Jet Synchron, Maxx C, Ash and one Prank Kid in hand. That is a pile deck. One Fairy, one Dragon, one Cyberse, one Thunder, one Aqua on field, insect and machine in hand... pfft. I can stick any six archetype cards into a pile deck, doesn't make it any more of a "so and so" deck than sticking wheels on my grandmother makes her a wagon. I don't begrudge people playing decks like this, but it is a real shame that all of their duels are always "who can get lucky enough to draw the right staples, get into their engine quick enough, and then get out the same stupid boss monster everyone else has." Watch one replay, you've pretty much seen them all.

You know they could just make a new handtarp that stops you're opponent from special summoning after 5 summons, that would keep combo decks in check and would allow us to ban max c.
Either way we should ban Maxx C. There are plenty of hand traps that keep the game in check in a healthy way we don’t need the roach at all.
Ban Maxx-C, winning the cointoss and drawing it is too strong.

First of all none of the decks you listed have such such simple combo lines besides Branded and Kash because they are centralized around Branded fusion and the Kash spells with the same end boards every time but even branded has high variance based on their hand. Sword Soul and Mathmech are great examples on copy & paste they do the exact same thing every time because their strategy relies on their one card combo that they *need* to get to every game.
Second you think they are drones because they use the most optimal combo’s for their deck? Like do you know literally anything about gaming? Have you ever looked at an E-Sports and wonder why everyone plays the same things and strats? Skill isn’t about being 100% original it’s having the right game knowledge and applying the best way possible. Like you clearly are looking for an ego trip I’m not gonna feed you any further

Cyclone is pretty ass vs SE. A half-decent player will play around it by setting up field spell + Flamberge and having redundancy. If you want to play a card that hard-punishes players who don’t go for the safest lines, then Nib is better at doing that (and pairs better with other handtraps). Crow is fine but by no means a card that can’t be played around/through, and whether you can play shifter is very deck dependant.
They would if they weren't forced to run the same 9 cards in every deck, also cc is not good against snake eye pre fire king support and few decks can run shifter so those aren't good examples, cards like talents and evenly are better examples but they still fall into the flawed "draw the out" argument

Ah yes because maxx c is notoriously the only going second card in existence and everyone knows full power tear didn't literally benefit from the maxx c being legal by being one of the most resilient deck to both it and the anti maxx c cards that it didn't have to run while every other deck did, who doesn't love entire tournament matches being decided by who wins another (very skillful) game of pure chance on top of the already heavily luck dependent nature of the game am I right?
