This may be true but if she doesn't fix her life, she will mess up her children's life even worse than what her mum did. It's clear she was a difficult child to train and her mum thought (like most parents in that age) not to spare the rod and spoil the child. She needs to begin to take responsibility now for her life, get help if need be or this cycle will get worse.

Obviously majority of you don’t understand abuse and trauma responses. You can definitely tell the “mom” was abusive to her. A lot of people go into Stockholm syndrome with their abusers. It doesn’t invalidate the abuse, it’s just another hurdle that has to be unpacked from the abuse. Best wishes to the daughter.

The thing is she isn’t a kid anymore, she’s an adult now & could be looking for sympathy to get her out of paying. My mom never PHYSICALLY abuse me or my sister herself, she did however allow her ex husband to beat the shit out of her in front of us & beat us on several occasions as well until my dad found out what was happening then removed us from the home. She’s been very emotionally/mentally + financially abusive over the years though. Due to her inability to protect us as children from seeing an being abused, her choice to guilt trip rather then take accountability for the trauma she put us through + her choice to take advantage of me financially, I do not EVER leave my own children alone with her for any period of time nor would I ever move them in with her for any period of time because I want better for them. Anyone who says they were abused by a parent but will still leave/move in their own kids with said parents, I look at their abuse claims a bit iffy. I’m not saying it didn’t happen, but I doubt to the extreme she claims because if it were so horrible why risk exposing your kids to the same behavior?

If the mom was so bad and abusive for so many years, why would the daughter want to stay with her in her home as a grown woman, and have her mom around her children? Make it make sense! Sounds like the daughter wants to live rent free, as an adult and had the audacity to bring in a boyfriend. Mom should have exercised tough love and have her grow up to pay her way somewhere else. Either you did that crap to your daughter or you didn't but what you don't say is I DONT REMEMBER doing THAT. If you are telling the truth then you don't have to remember what you didn't do .

Judge Mathis didn't APPRECIATE Doyle remark about trade school.... He KNOWS that THIS is a touchy subject and he NORMALLY take THIS sensitive topic SERIOUS, that's WHY he ANSWERED him and KEPT it MOVING with that sly smirk on his face!! He didn't WANT to hurt Doyle FEELINGS but he was MORE concerned with the DEFENDANT feelings and EMOTIONAL well-being and RIGHTFULLY so!! EVERYTHING isn't MEANT to be "humorous" and "made fun of".... It's a TIME for EVERYTHING and THIS case was NOT one of THOSE times to MAKE jokes ABOUT

The whole thing is he said and she said, but the actions of the daughter with the mom at the end outside the court were VERY RUDE and uncalled for. Treat your parents how you like to be treated by your children. Don't blame your life down the road when your children started treating you like garbage! The nine months and the subsequent years of time and effort the mom gave to the daughter is much more than the harish treatment, if that is true, the mom gave her! Parents, especially moms, should always have unique places in the hearts, minds, and feelings of their children, but I guess this modern and materialistic world don't any more!

Yeah.....I don't trust the mom, she said the daughter didn't pay her anything but in the book the daughter paid something. Something is not right....plus she lived in all of these places because of the abuse at home.
