It is made up of various peoples with regional and ethnic interests. But making Nigeria self sufficient in feeding itself from its own agricultural sector; should be everyone's interest. one of the biggest problem of agriculture in Nigeria is the buying power of the citizens. most ppl have very low disposable income to buy food at correct prices. and those who do, are yet to align their priorities. so it's most times easier to buy cheaper imported ones which are substandard and filled with carcinogens.

Africa needs more agro engineers and hydroengineers to improve irrigation systems.
